Absolutely love seeing your craft, I try to do minor bits of interior trim wrapping on my own car as I'm ocd about redesigning it to how I would have chosen. It's content like this I could watch all day long, the results you provide are a work of art.
Really enjoying, could we see episodes on different areas? Steering wheel, car seat, hood, head lining from different cars so you see the process start to end. Oh and a project car as well would be great!
Really hoping for deep dive in a high quality project!🙏 A long project gets people to watch more (I.e. a TV series). Even my lady likes watching Cechaflo with me because watching a craftsmanship is engaging. Currently it's jumping around a bit ADHD.
Potentially good video ruined by terrible camera work. The guy is discussing the process but the clueless cameraman keeps showing the guy's face. Unwatchable.
Hi Dave, Great content, I love the attention to detail Do you ever trim dashboard, central consoles of cars that were not previously trimmed? I have an old 987 booster that did not come with the extended leather option and I was interested in understanding more the cost implications and feasibility of having this done Cheers
Fantastic Video! I believe Dave did a roof repair on a 986 Boxster I purchased... It was such a bloody good job, you wouldn't even know he'd done it! That's the mark of a true professional! I've known of you for a long time through the Porsche Community, but I had no idea you had so much personality!... For me you really made this video come alive, It was great to get a sneak 'look behind the scenes' into your workmanship... It really made me wish I lived closer, so I could enquire about working for you or even helping out!.. Because despite not being easy job in the slightest, this skill/craftmanship looks super rewarding and like something I'd truly enjoy. All the best DTT! 👍
Thank you for showing more of what I wanted to see…working on something with a little explanation along the way. Would have liked to see/hear what kind of glue you use, how you apply it, and how long you let it set up.
Please keep the music volume always much lower than the speaking & get a lav mic. I'm watching on my TV. @1:45 the music is still very loud and I can't understand what he's saying. This means turning the volume constantly up and down. You'll kill your channel mate by blasting the music.
Loved the video. I have had seats made for my old 911; seats recovered for my 930 and have ordered more custom seats for motorcycles than I could shake a stick it. Rarely have they met my expectations. Normally it is the seating position on bike seats, car seats often the quality of the fit. I would like to see a bit more on leather selection and the foam base.
The information is great. Maybe we do not have it in South Africa, What is the Clipper ( the one that you used the knee roll from)? and also the cups holders. I need to do my one
Love the caddy, rear wheel drive? Amongst the many ideas I have in my head, fitting an mx5 rear subframe and suspension in to a caddy and making it rear wheel drive, (944 transaxle) is near the top. I imagine the rear stability with that much power is… interesting!
Would like to see complete interior retrim on 911s! I don't think anyone is showing your level quality detailed retrim of new seats, doors, dash, shifter, etc.
There'll always be an England...as long as there're craftsmen like Dave. I just hit "subscribe" and a thumbs up...no doubt the subscriber numbers will go up...way up.
Great content! Looking forward to more . “A day in the life .. “ , “workshop update”.. seem to always bring new viewers, Atleast that’s what I look out for as it’s interesting to see the reality of such trades/ businesses
That's a fabulous video. I've been a restorer of antique furniture for more than 40 years, all traditional hand work and hand rubbed polishes. Most clients love to be "part of the project" seeing how detailed and skillful the work is and they have a far greater understanding and appreciation of the work process , the time involved and of the finished piece. Your work looks beautiful. Look forward to watching more.
Dave, great first video, enjoyed seeing the process of trimming the seat. Great to understand the craft and skills of your work Looking forward to the next one. Mat
Enjoyed that! Nice mix of explanation, and quality videography. It’s always really satisfying watching trimming, one of those things that looks easy but takes years to master - and I’m sure frustratingly fiddly! The sewing machine looks like it’s got lots of settings, could you run through what different things you can do with it? Look forward to the next!
