Bought a 97 2500 v10 an I looked into them a lot but never saw on any forums or anything about steering. I’m shocked how crazy loose it is (truck is totally stock) I’m glad to know this is worth it. Was considering getting the $4k front end kit from cjc off-road but I think a track bar and steering box would be the ticket
I want a 2nd gen Cummins so badly now, now that I found out you can get them in a stick with 4x4 and extended cab. I’ve always been a Chevy dude but I think it’s time to try something new 100% I commercial drive 18 wheelers with Cummins in em and man just hearing the Jake brake or the diesel rev up it’s like awwwwweeeee to my ears everytime
I just did this a year ago too got it from a 2014 ram 3500 4x4. Took my steering stabilizer off. New gearbox TOO BIG!! ONLY 2 BOLTS FIT..WELD THE REST.....no other gearbox works besides this one 6 bolt..all I got to do is adjust. Have you adjust yours?
I can’t lie, that’s a tough choice. I have really enjoyed my Lincoln… but i don’t have has many hours on it as i have put on a miller 211 (which was owned by my previous employer) We did all our production work with millers… they just kept going. Only had one board fail in 3 years
did you have it stock on the comp box in the vid or was it on a power level? asking because I am planning on buying a 2nd gen but i’m worried it’ll puff and i’ll get into trouble.
@@crysis0 the truck is on level 5 in this video & has stayed on level 5 since i installed it. I drive modestly even with it on, but it’s there when i need to pull into traffic, execute a lane change or something where a decent bit of throttle is required. The truck also has larger injectors too, so that will cause a bit more smoke as well.
Hello from WA state! Thanks for taking the time to make this video. It is helpful, please let us know what happens after the alignment. I am also trying to fix the front end. I have switched to 3rd gen T style steering, upgraded track bar, upgraded steering box brace. My steering box seems like it has some play in it, so I am thinking the PSC is going to be the silver bullet. Thanks!
@@stephenbercik3626 man the PSC has solved a ton of my wandering issues, i still have a tiny bit of play in the wheel (guessing it’s my steering shaft bushing) but other than that she tracks straight, requires very little input to steer & has held up nicely. I think the only “downfall” is that you loose a good bit of your steering angle. It does not turn as tight as a OEM box. I’ll give up some steering radius for the comfort though
@@Fob_destroyer well, if the jon boat has been titled or registered before… you need to find the original owner to do so. Florida is very strict when it comes to vessel ownership. I couldn’t obtain a title for my jon boat cause the company who had owned in back in the day completely shut down & doesn’t exist. I was very lucky when it came to my Carolina skiff, as it had never been titled or registered. If it had been, i would’ve had to track the P/O down & hope that they would work with me
i just found your channel and had to click on it cuz of youre name "the dog house" dude that fkn cracked me up brotha ahahahaahahhaah genius name! subbed
Hahaha, we’re “always in the doghouse” 🤣 we actually got the idea from “the GOAT house” from Blue mountain state series cause we used to party a lot back in the og house
Buying a vessel without a title is most definitely not a misdemeanor charge that cop has a big chip on his shoulder you should've shoved the camera in his face and then seen what he had to say
I’m not 100% sure of the specifics on the law, i know you have 30 days to register the vessel after purchase or it can be a misdemeanor charge. I thought it was very incriminating to make a law stating you can’t buy a vessel with no title if it comes back clean. I didn’t want to film the officer, i wanted it to go as smooth as possible & i wanted to be respectful. She seemed like she did everything by the book, no if, an’s or but’s about it. Lmao.
Well thank you for sticking around, sorry if i talk too much in the videos LOL! I hope you enjoyed the content though… will have a skiff/formula update soon. Along with the new to me mariner 25 video
Once you get that floor cleaned up, and confirm it’s a keeper. The sea decking material isn’t very expensive and would transform the inside a ton. I think you scored since you know how to fix the bad fiberglass spots. I subbed just to watch this progress!
It really seems like she’s going to end up a decent little unit, the transom is solid, the floors are solid & she floats (you will see that in the next upload). I think i will definitely keep her & try to fix it up a bit. Will paint the interior and exterior, then follow up with some sea decking material as you said. Atleast cover up the larger bare spots cause i think i may put a center console in it. Not 100% sure.. but thank you for watching & the comment! *edit* - THANK YOU FOR THE SUB TOO! ITS MUCH APPRECIATED🙏❤️💪
You saved yourself around $600. Nice work on the vid! Reminds me of wrenching on stuff in AZ at the apartment complex we lived in while attending MMI/UTI…
You know it brother! Any dollar i can save i will surely try to do so! & man that apartment saw so many things taken apart, fixed, broken & welded. I’m sure i drove most of the neighbors crazy. I’m sure you did the same, thank you for commenting brother 🙏❤️💪
Man i would freakin love to go back and visit, i have tried to plan out several trips but just can’t make it happen with work, life & now my small business. One of these days I’ll for sure make it back out there to explore. Thanks for tagging along, it’s much appreciated ❤️❤️🙏🙏💪💪
Is this sarcasm? Why wouldn’t you… anything to temporarily lube all moving parts during assembly prior to start up. I’ve done this on all my engines I’ve ever assembled.
