Well, we weren’t “looking” for another project… but for $500 with a title, this marketplace find a we a steal. We surely couldn’t pass up this some what rare gem, i have always wanted another one since i sold my last.

Yeah man, it upsets me a bit too.. i just don’t do much with it. I really thought about it over these past few weeks… It sits around, i do miss drifting & i really do love the car itself but it’s just a big pile of money I’m basically sitting on. Event prices have really jumped, you spend that money to get maybe an hour or two of seat time on the track when you’re a B class driver. The 3 day osw events sell out so quickly now, within the first hour, it just isn’t like it was when i first got into it. I may end up keeping the shell, fixing a few things and redoing it later down the road. Idk man, it’s up in the air but I’ve already sold the subframe & the silvia front.

Man i haven't seen one of these since early 2000s in high school. Maintenance guy had one that was fairly clean. Cool rides for sure 🤙

Yeah they’re so sick! I had one back in 2013-2016ish. I believe i had just sold it or posted it right when we started TDH. I was glad to be able to find another & hopefully we can save her

Hey bro hope all Is well! Got an a 89 myself right now…check your starter solenoid for why it won’t crank with the key. There’s a wire that runs from ignition switch to starter solenoid which in turn tells starter to fire. From the video it sounded like no spark. Check the coil and the “ignition control module” that sits right underneath it! Also I’m sure you know with the renix make sure your vacuum lines running to map and throttle body are clear! For fuel pump check the fuel Pump resistor under hood before fuel pump

AJ, good to hear from you brother! I’m doing alright down here, can’t complain! I will definitely be going over it more in-depth when it’s not raining to see if i could get it to fire off. I noticed someone loomed some wires off the positive terminal to the starter relay, the grounds are real rough, so I’ll be chasing those. And i didn’t see the fuel pump resistor where it’s supposed to be. (The white chalky looking unit on the driver fender) & lastly I’ll be sure to check the ignition system when i clean up the grounds.
