“We’re Green Day from Berkeley California” does sound a lot cooler than, “We’re Sweet Children from Pinole, California”

This interview was much older than I thought it was going to be. It's from the early 1980s. Siouxsie looks like she's having fun.

If this is 93 and they aren't playing Dookie songs I wonder if they already signed with Reprise and the contract stated they weren't allowed to play any Dookie songs on tour, or if they themseleves made a decision to not play the songs. Welcome to Paradise was recorded for Kerplunk, so legally Reprise wouldnt be able to stop them from playing it. Dookie was released in 94 but GD was playing songs as early as 92 so...you be the judge.

I always thought Green Day were a better version of Husker Du. They definitely took alot of their melodic sense from them.

His work on the Bryan Ferry album “In Your Mind” was fantastic. His playing on “Love Me Madly Again” is a highlight of his expressiveness. To this day I have not heard a sound like it. Loved his work. Underrated player. Way less egotistic than Page.

She had a magical Tune in Her Voice. And she brings me to the Creations of Indian and Arabic Music..Kiss them for me ...is a Masterpiece for all the time. And don't forget the Band.! Very good Musicians. Normally I give no credits or compliments .... only for a few....! I mean listen to the actual music..!! Eloy Elohim... is the deepest Level ever. There is good sound..... but is so rare. But I hope She have a wonderful time on this Earth.

Apropos that the Zulu records interview would be talking about the importance of preservation, in an interview which itself is now thankfully preserved. Thanks to everyone involved to keep these bits of music history alive, including you dear uploader.

@@moharak I get that people like to sexualize Siouxsie, which makes some sense because it’s no secret that she sexualized herself. However, desiring to hook up with her is going a little too far IMO.
@moharak
@moharak 7 месяцев назад
@@Pascal5207_ It was a hypoyhetical based 40 years in the past and spoken as someone who used to attend the types of clubs she would have played at. Maybe too much for just you and creepy to others that this somehow could bother someone. Do you have a problem with consensual sex or the concept of CIS attraction? She was sexy man. Sheesh.
@Pascal5207_
@Pascal5207_ 7 месяцев назад
@@moharak I can agree with assessment that she was sexy, however she’s obviously not a consenting party when it comes to your lust. Nonetheless, as long as it’s purely hypothetical it’s fine.

leave it to a Canadian punk band to do an anti-drug punk song
@LividImp
@LividImp Год назад
The whole straight edge movement out of DC was anti-drug. Virtually every punk musician that kicked the habit would end up doing an anti-drug song at some point. Drugs, particularly heroin, devastated the scene. You can fill graveyards with the causalities of flippant drug use in the punk scene. There is a big difference between recognizing the ridiculous anti-drug propaganda of the mainstream, and the kind of casual drug use that lead to so many deaths and ruined lives.
