The owners were great. Never carded the marginally underage. As long as we didn't act like knobs.

I'm very glad to know that way back in the early 1990's, some young punker had the presence of mind to record to tape all these precious segments of punk rock history! Well done!

Apropos that the Zulu records interview would be talking about the importance of preservation, in an interview which itself is now thankfully preserved. Thanks to everyone involved to keep these bits of music history alive, including you dear uploader.

+1967PONTIACGTO Mike Mirabella, the finest Rebels guitarist there has been. If you watch/listen to him live during this era he was great! Not sloppy, tight, great tone and feel and could really play well, very Jimmy Page'esque at times.

My girlfriend at the time made it in our apartment , all hand made silk screen. The band had come over to our place to tell us what they wanted, all except Mickey, he was too important or something, anyway we hung out for a while and partied , the drummer at the time telling us he had been in N.Y.C. trying out for that position in the Ramones. Good guys ,saw them a couple of times with the flag backdrop in Hamilton and Toronto.

leave it to a Canadian punk band to do an anti-drug punk song
@LividImp
@LividImp Год назад
The whole straight edge movement out of DC was anti-drug. Virtually every punk musician that kicked the habit would end up doing an anti-drug song at some point. Drugs, particularly heroin, devastated the scene. You can fill graveyards with the causalities of flippant drug use in the punk scene. There is a big difference between recognizing the ridiculous anti-drug propaganda of the mainstream, and the kind of casual drug use that lead to so many deaths and ruined lives.
