What will you see on my channel? Stuff I like that you hopefully will not find anywhere else on the interwebs. Rare content from dusty old obsolete video tape formats which are cool or historical or weird. And the worlds first computer generated TV host, Max Headroom.
I remember watching this is a teenage fan in Australia. Was so excited when he came on. First concert ever - Serious moonlight at Lang Park in Brisbane. So memorable - genius of a man. Miss this guy. 😢
I'm not sure. I haven't looked into it. I did see a comment tweeted by one of the inventors on the SBS program "Insight" several years ago. It indicated they were in Tasmania. Did he move by choice or was he compelled to?
Who'd ever think something like this would ever happen on National TV? This happened back in 1991 and television in Australia started back in 1956 and this incident made front page news worldwide
Don Lane says to Bowie, during applause at the beginning of the interview, "See that guy with his hands up in the air, he is a big fan of yours, he's DEAF"

Max Headroom should return immediately. He could be re-created on cgi now to make it a never ending source of snarky mockery of the contemporary stupidity of everything. Just need to be careful to follow the steps of the original, no modernization allowed in anything other than the topics. *Max, please come back!!!*
there is a part they edited out of this show. when a tech pirate hacked into the TV stations signal, and ran 20 seconds of a football game, and a few days later, in another city, 20 seconds of Dr who

Does anyone know where the companion piece about the destruction and recovery of this documentary can be found? I see the trailer for The Dream of Perfection on Facebook but can’t find the whole thing anywhere.
Was that broadcast before or after "Autopsy.."? I don't think I recorded that unfortunately. It may have been on ABC iView for a short time after it was broadcast but then would have been removed. There is a YT video with that title but it is actually just "Autopsy" ripped off from my channel. (I can tell it's a rip off because my recording missed the beginning of the film. I had to tack on the beginning from the poorer quality iView version. You will see a black line at the bottom of the picture disappear at the transition.)
I had an uncle with a voice like Bob's. You walked into the room and almost automatically asked yourself, "What have I done wrong now?" I rarely venture into the building, but for all the drama, I am grateful for their efforts.
