i have a question i have a solid fuel back boiler with a pipe thermostat even tho the pipes are hot the thermostat wont go above o c the rads are hot and i have hot water
My wife always says to me I should start a RU-vid channel and I’m like “why would anyone want to watch me fitting boilers etc” and then I sit here watching your videos 😂
Normal I get a length of condensate pipe with a 45 on the end and blow the pipe clear , it’s yuck but it works for me , il have to try the tyre valve, thanks for the great video.
I've got a vitodens 050 about 4 years old water and heating not working properly plate heat exchanger is clean engineer vaxed loads of debris out of hoses but says main heat exchanger has had it needs replacing can that happen
I always thought the hoses were supposed to be cleaned out on a service via flush. Easy to do but agree they are a pain and not a good design. Cant think of any other boiler that requires this. Good video as Vs have odd quirks a bit like the old citreon cars.
Smart meter engineer here 🙋♂️ ironically watching on new years day 2024 😄 about to begin my boiler servicing journey after years of metering. Thanks for the video buddy, appreciate it 😊
You are 1000% correct on the rubber hoses in these mate - i powerflush central heating systems and see this all the time a complete nitemare bad desighn I also got onto Viessman uk who dismissed what I was telling them about thse hoses . I do not like Viessman boilers because if this desighn fault ! I don’t see this problem anywhere else apart from the older Vaillant’s thst had them in ! Thanks for sharing this I got one to do in a few weeks with same fault both hoses have been ordered 👍
7:38 if you can get £200 in cash to fit between the electrodes, then that's a sign they need replacement. Bet they showed you that on the Worcester Bosch course hahaa
This happened to me last year. 22 coming out 90⁰ for 600mm. Must have caught it, and it caused the brazed boss to leak. The customer tried to get me to pay for all the decorating. Question: Did you have to pay for the new cylinder, or did you tell them that it came to the end of its life. I.e. if you borrow a fella's car and it breaks down, do you have to pay for the repairs...
Left my college course 2 years in February, left with a level 2 diploma which isn't worth the paper it's written on apparently.but luckily I got taken on by a firm just looking at getting my maths and english to actually spend 4 years as an apprentice but at the end I get my gas apparently so see how it goes. Currently doing air source, underfloor heating,1st fix 2nd fix,
I have a job with the same issue to sort out today, it’s the 2nd time in 3 months it’s happened, drained it down in the summer for some repairs and it’s been a shit bag since! Added 2 aav air cupboard but ultimately it probably needed air vents on the long horizontal runs where I can’t get to! Pump is strong but valves are shot, I had a problem on another property 3 years back now which took 2 days to shift 🥴
