This was my first DMC game, it was great playing as NERO since I had no idea who dante was as well. Felt like I'm nero himself curious about the world. Now that I've played DMC 5 as well as watching other DMC lore, it's refreshing to rewatch these videos as to see what I missed knowing
My favourite game till now I have played this game more than 50 times when I was 11 years old I used to play this game and always stuck at the forest level but when I turned to 14 reinstalled the game and finished it.This game is filled with full of emotions. But this pubg generation don't know the Devil May Cry Craze Nero is my favourite character in this game.
Quiet Nero. You're tall, good-looking, super-human, you have powers, a girlfriend that loves and excepts you, you are the best of your rank among the knights and Dante trusts you with the Yamato. That arm is another blessing.
I tried to narrow it down to a single moment but...this entire mission is a perfect ending for me in terms of emotions. Nero fully accepts his power and lets his love for Kyrie flow through him, defeating Sanctus with all the serene grace and effortless flow that would make Vergil proud. Dante isnt even struggling against Sanctus, hes just keeping him busy while Nero comes into his own, and all he needs to do is take one look at him leaping from the Saviour with Kyrie in his arms to know that, not only would his brother live on through his nephew, no matter what, the world would be safe with Nero at the helm if it needed him...he was a true Son, or Grandson, of Sparda.
This boss fight shows just how powerful love can be in the DMC universe. Sanctus despite using the legendary Devil Sword Sparda is unable to draw out much of its power due to not being able to understand feelings and love Nero despite using the weaker Yamato is able to defeat him due to his love for Kyrie as well as his affinity with Yamato, essentially his dad’s own weapon Sanctus couldn’t anticipate that a descendant of Sparda’s blood would show him what real power is
8:00 is such a highlight with the triumphant music in the background and JYB's terrific voice acting, throughout the entire game you get to know nero, wanting to play as dante, but eventually grow a liking to Nero with his easier gameplay style and once you finally get the chance to play as him again? You welcome him and gladly take control as you conquer through a gauntlet of bosses. The setup and pay off of Nero no longer being ashamed of his hand, UGH it felt like i was watching a climactic finish to a movie and it still does to this day despite having loads of things cut.
I have memories of devilmaycry4 Story: When i was a kidme and my elder sis play DMC4 and i have a pc we keep on playing to beet it there was one place that we hard beeting it and we done it and we fight big statue and them my pc broke and we didnt beet the game😢
Some people imagine Nero is what Sparda was like in his youth and I really love this headcanon. The way he seems to understand his grandpa (despite never meeting or knowing him) more than the supposed worshippers makes it all the better.
Underrated moment is when Nero willingly gives up the Yamato when Dante was about to leave. Dante would not have been surprised if he held on to it after experiencing the power of the sword but if that happened, he would have to take it by force. HOWEVER, the fact that Nero was willing to return it simply because Dante said it belonged to him was enough for Dante to let the kid have it. He knew that it was in the right hands because the one holding it isn't power-hungry or evil.
This game’s story was worse than 5. This game was like a soap opera and Nero spent too much time screaming for Kyrie. Nero’s character arc in 5 and Vergil’s return are much better and more complete
Nero: Hey Dante! We will ever meet again? Dante: Probably, just make sure to hold onto your arm. Nero: Don't you mean sword? Dante: I know what I said!
I always wondered, did fortuna do a better job at the human demon thing then arkham or was arkham and jester more powerful? I want to say Arkham was more powerful which was why Dante didnt consider anyone a threat while even when tired Jester was a threat
