My channel focuses on all types of waste collection vehicles within Victoria and throughout Australia. I try my best to produce the best quality videos that I can with my Sony camcorder. I try to capture all the good stuff for everyone to view but sometimes I just can't catch them all. I would be grateful if all my viewers can appreciate the time and effort I have put into my videos but not only that but the fact of going out there spending the hours driving and previously riding around on my bike to get the trucks on video. Subscribe, like/fav or even drop a comment!
Awesome video cuz, I’m looking through a whole lot of your older captures and there’s some pretty neat stuff! I might say I got quite the shock when I clicked on the video, expecting it to be a euro 4 judging by the spider rims and then hearing the noise of an e5😂 pretty neat to see spiders on an e5, nice change up from the norm. Cheers
Heaps curious about the full extent of the GCCC front lift operation, I've gotta do a Facebook post and ask questions to find out some facts! Definitely a different ballgame what they're doing, just look at the amount of bins he's throwing in this short stretch of laneway, it's like the front lift equivalent of 250/h on the side loaders haha Almost get the impression the bulk work side of this contract is as important as the house runs, must be some serious collections volume that gets done with the commercial and high rise segment of the job. Seems to me the GCCC front lift fleet just missed out on being 2010 models judging by the fleet numbers, I was imagining what the sound could've been in this video. I probably won't get to see this generation of the front lift business up there, but I'll have to visit in future and see + appreciate the game in person with the new fleet. I think I enjoy the recycle collections with the fronties a bit more than the garbage coz it's extra unique, love the idea and noise of lots of comingle falling into the big hopper, but I guess that's not going to be the same with the container refund scheme up there now. Gotta say, it's like a criminal act that there's no overhead shot of a truck included in this video, that's like a signature angle for GCCC front lifts! 😝 Glad you captured what you did, keen to see the other stuff you're yet to share 👍
It's amazing stuff, definitely a different ball game with the front lift stuff up there. A full E4 fleet would of been something else haha. I'd like to document the Recycling front lifts more as its something you don't see much off anywhere else. The only other thing I have left is one of the JJ's Side loaders on Recycle.
I've seen a lot of side arm operators over the years, and this one is by far the worst I've watched. Absolute "cowboy" just as per the name on the truck. Lifter too quick, no finesse with the motions, hard on the acceleration, head/work lights still on in daylight, just a few signs of a steering wheel attendant... I bet Ben would be furious if he saw this guy working! All jokes aside, job well done from both parties, an entertaining watch. Must feel different videoing a Hume truck now having worked there yourself, to think sadly one day this footage will be all for the memories of Hume council works. Just coming from your Boroondara video, damn that visor makes a fat difference to the appearance - old news, but still gets to me some places ordered these trucks without one.
Haha thanks, the description was written in a way for those egotistical operators that think they are gods gift to garbage with the way they carry on saying how great they are!
I remember when you sent me the photos of this truck, and all this time I thought you got two different side arms coz of the purple and orange signage colours 😅 Awesome to watch 132 while it was still youthful and running sweet. Always loved the traditional Boroondara bin set as well, dark green for garbage, blue for recycle and orange lid for greens... I think it's a unique colour group, no other council had it? Great to soak up the in-house operations, something else which seems to be disappearing or changing in one way or another alongside the trucks we enjoy. Very tidy operator too, good on him! Only downside to this video is it's a Euro 5, I could only imagine the truer ACCO sound playing on audio 🙃
If you saw what this truck looked like today or even saw what the whole Boroondara fleet looks like, you'll be shocked! I don't think there is anyone there that even washes their trucks mate. Some tailgates are that black you can't even read the rego plates. Apart from Yarriambiack having the full yellow Recycle bins, Boroondara is the only one down here in Melbourne to have blue bodies. Up until not long ago though, they have moved to dark green bodies with yellow lids for Recycle. Yeah, its not the same anymore without their Euro4 fleet.
Hey mate Thinking of going there this Wednesday in hopes to find some older wheelie waste rigs, do you happen to know what trucks wheelie waste run if they still have the contract or even happen to know where wheelie waste run old rigs if they’ve still got any. Cheers Mint video too 👌
The yard is in Stawell. I don't know what they run down there but last I heard they had gotten new Volvo Gen6's. They might have some old stuff getting around but!
@@VictorianGarbo yeh alr thanks. I think a lot of wheelie waste contracts use them Volvos now so wouldn’t surprise me. I’ll have a look out there soon. Cheers
I still recall you telling me about this Wodonga trip and sending a photo of this truck, I reckon it was longer ago than I think too! Spotted old mate a couple times at 4:05 and 12:15 standing back enjoying the show haha Totally agree the opening clip was the best part, definitely tops with the wind carrying the sound... or listening to the orchestra as you worded it =P The music was on point from 6:20 as well, hearing the high idle holding its note through the wind as he was turning around. Then from 9:25 got some real nice speed tunes with a combo of engine roar and pump whine, gunning it to that last bin and afterwards leaving the street - always love how well your camera picks up the noise. Gotta say this truck loses a few points with the long slide extensions, there was nothing swift and smooth about it, even appeared jerky at times, so made it a bit painful to watch from around 4:10 lol I'm curious how many of these they had with bull bars, turns out the side loader I got photos of in Greater Hume was 072, also wonder which council this 070 initially worked in. Really was a cool fleet Cleanaway had running in the region... seeing this video made me reflect a bit on the trucks I saw in 2012 and the variety was on point, all topped off with the original blue and branding.
It was a good day out this one! I'm pretty certain this truck has been scrapped since. I actually videoed it doing garbage over in Latrobe probably 4 or 5 years ago now. One of the best sounding ones I've come across, truck looked real healthy for its age. Not sure how many are left but there wouldn't be many left up there. Still got a few E4's floating around in the Northern parts of Victoria but for how much longer who knows!
Good shit mate, one of the few videos I've managed to sit through in its entirety. That clip from 3:40 was grouse then watching him hook into that side street! Old mate knows what he's doing without a doubt.
