Rick - I nearly turned off the video when you gave away the price. I stayed with you but there is no way I’m spending that kind of money on an unknown, unproven club. Thanks for the video but I’m not moved by “aircraft aluminum” - it’s probably from old Boeing planes.
The word cheap means, poor technology, poor building materials and quality. It is neither of those things. It would be better described less expensive or inexpensive. On another note, I just purchased the Sim2 Max today. $259 👍🏼
I putt with an old Ping 1A that I bought used in the early 2000s. I have tried other putters (including my dad's SC) and I really don't see a reason to replace it, definitely can't see dropping $500 on this.
Rick loved the video could you do more of these comparisons! I’m currently using very old clubs want to upgrade but don’t need the latest and greatest. Also have you ever reviewed takoma or stix?
The golf club industry and the prices are a sham. Get a club, any old lump of metal, practise with it, over and over, see how it performs in your hands, adjust accordingly and stick with it. There simply ain't no magic bullet. The more you change, the more you gotta practise and adjust.
I almost got the sm10s but chose the mizuno t24 wedges instead there so much nice to hit on full shots. Vokeys felt clicky and hard next to the soft mizunos
Same bounce on all? Why not give yourself more options? I like medium, high, and low bounce options for my gw, sw, lw (respectively) and feel it gives me more versatility. Can play lw for tight lies and hard sand. Sw for soft sand and rough. Gw is fine for fairway and semi
I've watched golf for 35 years and never heard of this scotty camron person. Was he even a golfer or is it just a name?. Only people getting hard over his putters its wierd.
Hey Rick I would like to get the Vokeys, but I was told that it would be better for me to get same type wedges as irons. I play P790 irons, more of a cavity back club. I am an 11 handicap with decent short game. You feel I would be ok for the Vokeys, or maybe better for CBX or S23?
You know you made it RU-vid golf when Titleist comes to you for a custom fitting ! Last month I sold my TM wedges and got SM9’s bought from 2ndSwing in barely used 9.0 and 9.5 condition. 52 deg was in excellent condition and my 56 and 60 still had demo stickers on them. Hardly showing any wear. Saved about $100-120 over all 3 wedges compared to buying new sm10’s. Awesome wedges
I tried them and absolutely loved them. However, I also tried the Mizuno T24s and loved them more. Went with Mizunos ❤ Could have easily went with Vojeys and been happy. Fantastic wedges
In Australia , SM10’s are around $300 Aus. I picked up a brand new sm9 (after k owing a guy at my local shop, member discount, etc) for $218. 60 deg, 08m in black. I want to know if a new SM10 is worth the extra 90 odd dollar-bucks over a SM9?? And everyone lay of ricks chipping game, I wish I was good enough to suck at it like he does…. 😂😂 #PrayForRicksShortGame
Been a Cleveland wedge guy my whole life. Just tested the a few Vokey 60s recently. They are really good. I like them prob about just as much as the Cleveland
rick you really should try and use higher bounce wedges for your 56 maybe like a 12 degree bounce and make it your go to club for standard chips. the higher bounce may really help you as its much more forgiving than a 8 degree
I refuse to pile on Rick because he’s struggling with his chipping at the moment. Thank you for showing us the latest stuff, Rick! All the best from Spain!
Don't underestimate the power of nostalgia. Humans long for the good old days, the simpler times. They're selling out everywhere because TaylorMade took one of their best drivers ever and packed it with modern technologies and amenities. I also truly believe that there is a large market of players out there who actually don't want to address their tee shot with a gargantuan 460cc sledgehammer.
All wedges are getting crazy expensive. Three wedges costs the same as a driver and they too are crazy expensive these days. Forget bitcoin, invest in golf manufactures 😂
I cannot smack wedges your kind of distance. Some of you wedge shots are a 7 or 8 iron for me so we are not talking apples to apples. I'm an old, broken down fart. I hit nothing far. My goal, to master wedges in the very short range and putt well. Wide soles and measured backswing for different distances. Pro line wedges? Can't help me. For your sake, I hope you do well with your wedges. I mean that.
