It’s hard to see with this Best Buy Security Cam, but when the train returns to the station, the brake man is there on the left. There was a giant wooden plank the operator would pull (with his whole body) to stop the train. Only men worked this ride until they modernized it.
If they can "RMC" Mean Streak/Steel Vengeance and "re-imagine" Top Thrill Dragster, why can't they "Intamin" Maverick and put the heartline roll back in?
The ride experience feels a bit faster with all of the changes that were done to The Blue Streak. I can definitely feel the change in the speed of the Trains traveling into the turn around. I still love this Classic Woodie.!!🎢💞💞💞
This ride sucks balls. Not only is it rough and painful but when I was riding someone’s phone flew out of their pocket and came within like 2 centimeters of my face.
I believe the story is that the trains were a tiny bit more elevated then supposed to be, but the designers thought that it was marginally enough to be ok for the ride. It was for 99%, but that heartline roll was more like an inline roll, so it caused it to deliever wayyyyyyy too many g's.
The amount of G's was high, but it wasn't as bad as youd think, the worst it could've caused is slight temporary neck pain for the average guest, according to the engineers that is.
