I can't even get my 2013 ford f150 with the 5.0 to burn both tires at the same time with traction control off and advance control off it was only one wheel spinning today made a fool out of myself during a burn out contest
Shane Roberts the reason for that is because you have an open differential which mean generally the passenger tire will spin like crazy because it pushes the power to the path of least resistance. I also have a 2013 5.0 and I have a rear locking differential so I can spin both.
Brutebog650 what did you do to get the truck to rev up in a burnout? I have a 2012 f-150 with the 5.0 and even with turning off the traction control and stability control (holding the button for 7-8sec) I can only get it to slowly burn the tires at 25-30 mph standing still. I believe it was only around a few thousand rpm and it was electronically regulating it at that rpm no matter how hard I pushed the gas. Your truck seemed to spin right up, at the end. Thanks
If you can help or have an idea. I'm trying to run 37x13.50x20 and want to put them on a fuel deep lip 20x12. Should I go with bds or the mcgaughys? Thank you.
You could do either. Mcgaughys with extended aftermarket shock/strut assembly Or BDS 6" with 2" level stacked The reason I wouldn't put a 2" level on top of Mcgaughys is because it already uses a tower extension on top. I am adding a solid 3/4" piece welded to the top of my Mcgaughys with longer bolts to get the extra I need. But my wheels are not as wide as yours.
Thanks a lot man I really appreciate it. I know you have a ton of people asking you questions probably gets annoying. Can't wait for the snow n salt to be gone so I can lift it. Love the stance of the truck in the video those 20x10?
Guys, you can't burn all 4 tires if it's not chained to a tree. He was standing on the brakes while hitting the gas, which is how you do an actual burnout if you want to stay in place and don't have a line lock.
no rubbing on 37s with a 6 inch lift? I'm about to do the same thing but i thought 35s were as big as i can go with a 6 pro comp lift, i would prefer 37s if i could but i want to do no or little cutting
This 5.0 is basically a revamped push-rod 302 that's been changed to the new and more efficient DOHC design. Better than the 5.4 and the 4.6 if you ask me.
