2012 f150 with 6" fabtech and worn 37-13.5-20 toyo open country's in a little mud hole. He was sitting on frame when the video started. That's why he has to reverse.
@webbdawg99. The truck in the video is my brothers truck. He has a flow master 40 series dumped before the rear axle. I have 35s on my truck with 3.55 gears. 6.5" lift, 5star tune and cherry bomb exhaust. You will have more than enough power to turn the 35s with your gears. He turns the 37s with ease. They weren't even a problem before the tune. You will be fine
He did have to trim the lower plastic valence a little. Since this video he has added an 1 1/2" level kit on top of the 6" lift and an 1 1/2" add-a-leaf in the rear. He is sitting at 7 1/2" over stock. NO rubbing at all now with the 37's. Mudgrapplers do have a pretty good size side lug. I ran 35/12.5/20 grapplers on my 09 with just a 2" level. You can clear them with the same setup he has.
@john doe. First off. This truck weighs twice as much as a little taco. Second it has almost bald 37s. Something you can't even fit on a taco without a major lift. And he wasn't stuck. Stuck is having to be pulled out by something other than your own power. Trust me this truck has been through much worse. This is just a little hole we play in by our job.
Nice, at least it sees mud unlike most lifted street queens. Although I am not a fan of lifted trucks since they actually make off roading worse unless your only off road is deep mud, and they make your truck less useful in it's intended purpose as a truck. But at least it looks like it can which is why you did it in the first place. Did you have to swap gears or are you still running the stock 3.55 ratio? If so, I bet that thing downshifts like crazy on the highway.
no rubbing on 37s with a 6 inch lift? I'm about to do the same thing but i thought 35s were as big as i can go with a 6 pro comp lift, i would prefer 37s if i could but i want to do no or little cutting

your truck is sick bro !!, i wanna lift m,y 2012 f150 6"s and slap some 37s !, but man to much of a hassle for me, had 37s on the old chevy i use to have man front end went through parts like there was no tomorrow !, ill prob lift my f150 4"s and some wide 35s :) nice truck by the way
I have 3.55 in my 5.0 as well. I've read all kinds of forums about that gear ratio being crap for big tires. I was about to put 35's on. I've also ordered a custom tune from Mike at 5 star. I guess the custom tune helps a ton with the 3.55 gears? If you're happy with your 37s.....I can't imagine that my 35's will be an issue. Btw, I did an AirAid as well. What did you do as far as exhaust goes. Thats the one area I don't have a CLUE on
This truck is no highway queen. It sees its fair share of mud and dirt. And it still tows 7000lbs easy. This is a work/play truck, Daily driver that likes to have fun. Gears are the stock 3.55s. It holds 6th pretty good unless going up a good slope. Highways around here are mostly flat with just overpasses.
If you can help or have an idea. I'm trying to run 37x13.50x20 and want to put them on a fuel deep lip 20x12. Should I go with bds or the mcgaughys? Thank you.
You could do either. Mcgaughys with extended aftermarket shock/strut assembly Or BDS 6" with 2" level stacked The reason I wouldn't put a 2" level on top of Mcgaughys is because it already uses a tower extension on top. I am adding a solid 3/4" piece welded to the top of my Mcgaughys with longer bolts to get the extra I need. But my wheels are not as wide as yours.

lol.. a lift dont really do much for ya tires is what makes it and how you suspension is set up theres a lot more to muddin than a lift but you clearly have no idea what your talking about ... ya your tacoma would have been being pulled out by that badass ford get a real truck
