If you apply a resist, like the Tankote before you antique the antique won’t darken the whole project. The antique will only stay in the stampede area giving a great contrast and highlighting the stamping.
A yr later how do you like it? How does the wool hold after getting wet? The internet wants me to use foam. I’d prefer natural materials. Did you waterproof the leather?
I sold this so don’t use it myself but I did see the gentleman a while after and he said it was holding up really well! I didn’t waterproof the cheek piece as that was the flesh side. I did waterproof everything else.
@@RedTractorLeather I made a document tube for my speed loaders for my S&W 610 revolver and the brass corroded surprisingly fast. A buddy said he rubs bees wax on his projects then goes over it with a heat gun to melt it in and that works really well. I thought it was only chrome tanned leather that corroded. If you’re building other gun related projects do you do anything special to prevent metallic interaction?
I have heard that can happen with chrome tanned leather but have no direct experience with that. I use vegetable tanned leather, and if dyed, I use Feibings Tan Kote to seal and waterproof. I do rub in olive oil on my finished projects to give some oils back to the leather. you could also use skidmores leather cream to replenish and condition but that’s what I use. Hope that helps!
@@RedTractorLeather appreciate the tips. I did learn the hard way not to line my holsters with suede. So always use veg tan now. I’m doing a custom cheek piece for my Sako which lead me here. Appreciate your insights!
The thread I’m using is .08 mm from Makers Leather supply. The stitching irons are 4 mm. The needles I’m using are standard stitching needles (hand not machine). I don’t have a size but you want something thick enough you can push through leather without it bending or snapping. Hope that helps!
@@RedTractorLeather is there any way so when the emails come in they no longer show up in the inbox ? Or every time we would have to archive them in bulk?
Yes I believe you can set up a rule that when an email comes in with a certain subject or from a specific sender for example it goes automatically to a label. Open an email you want to apply this to. Then in the middle in the toolbar above the email click the 3 dots to open other options. Click Filter messages like these and when you choose your options you can have these messages go to a specific label and I think also archive them in the same rule
The only thing I can think of is make sure you’re selecting all the messages (again) and then archiving. And I’m assuming you can see another label besides the inbox label so they have somewhere else they can go. Hope that helps!
if you try just one message and move it to a label does that work? Do you now see two labels? If so then try clicking archive and does it remove one of the labels? The only other thing I can think of is it depends on the platform you might be using. Are you on a mobile device or laptop/desktop and are you using an app? That might help us get closer to the problem ;-)
such a simple thing apparently but I couldn't figure it out with my new leather concho guitar strap. Thank god I found this video quickly as I was literally fuming! :)
This is perfect. How Google has removed the ability to easily remove Items from the Inbox by DEFAULT is an amazement of Oversight from our Google overlords. Thank you for solving a problem that has been annoying me for at least two years(Giggles at age this video was created). (Remove the INBOX tag from messages). (Outlook browser does this behavior with 3 Actions) Click two(or more) "from: User" messages ->Click "Sweep". Then create the Rule as needed.
And more importantly if you ever have questions about the Faith, I can maybe try and help answer them or point you in the right direction. I totally understand that there are questions and criticisms so if I can help let me know ;-)
@@RedTractorLeather No but thank you , you tried helping. But it only shows how to move emails to label, the issue is whenever new emails comes it directly goes into that label which is ok, but I am not getting notifications for those emails.
In Yahoo mail, you select all, right click on any one/move to/pick folder. Not your fault, but this is a ridiculously convoluted way to have to bulk move some messages.
There should be at least one peg on the end of the body of the guitar. One hole fits over that and if there isn’t a second peg near the neck you can use a string, leather strip, shoe lace or anything else that would bear the weight of the guitar and tie it to the neck up near the tuning pegs
Straightforward but bit of a pain. Labels take some getting used to. I'm used to the Outlook Mail Rule feature that seems more intuitive. You create the rule and apply it. Using the "Archive" term is misleading. It makes you want to look for an Archive folder.
Wow! Thank you SO much for creating this very simple and effective tool for organizing my GMAIL inbox. I will echo what everyone else is saying...simple, effective and to the point!
I did find this from Google - They say: The yellow "tag" in Gmail is called a "yellow marker". Gmail analyzes your incoming mail messages based on messages that you receive, open, reply to. I hope that helps!
You did it wrong dude the small part of the straps always comes out on top at the end of the strap and don't let anybody tell you that you can skip a bunch of slots as you thread your strap if you decide to go decide to go that way' ya'll have problems I'll start bunching up on your back not fun. if it needs to be long just strart lower remember the small part if strap must come out on top at the last slot it might seem a little confusing at first but is not rocket science Nunavut is not even theory that is if you're willing to use your own mind & correctly thread your strap !" No half measures" your guitar wark won't be sloppy and half-hearted " The Strap is a small part of the journey might as well have fun & do it right the time. 🤘🤨👉💨 Take 2
Could not figure out the strap adjustment after watching multiple videos. I was able to get it done with the help of your video. What a relief. Thank you!
There are holes on each end of the strap with a slit. Typically this goes over a metal post that is already attached to the guitar. In some cases a guitar may not have the metal post, especially near the neck, and in that case you just use a piece of cord, string or other material to tie the strap to the neck. I hope that helps ;-)
I want to move 20K email from INBOX to a label called "Older Email". (Why? I am about to add a MAPI account to my Outlook and don't want 20k old email to pour into my new Outlook inbox - just new email from today forward.) Using your filter method, I tried to label all inbox email using "FROM: *.*" and other variations but I cannot select all 20K emails. Initially, I tried MOVING all inbox to label "older email" but it was stuck "LOADING" for hours. BTW, I have already deleted all large emails 2MB+, and emptied my trash successfully. Any ideas? Thanks.
Brett that is a good question! Maybe it has to do with the amount of emails and the size? not sure I’ve tried to move that many emails. Hopefully somebody else will chime in with a good answer!
Constructive tip: When making a Mexican loop (the keeper cut out of the skirt), punch a very small hole at the ends of each cut. This will prevent the leather from wanting to continue to tear as stress is put on the keeper over time…
i think you are doing the basket weave backwards. you should do that first then the edge stamping. the edge stamp is to hide the edge of the basket stamp. now having said that, it looks amazing. great work!!!!
Thank you for the advice! Honestly I think you’re right. I’ve actually done it that way in the past but I found starting the edging and then doing the basket stamp allows me to know where my edges of my basket stamp will go so I don’t have a rogue line (from a basket stamp) through my edging. Then I can go back and punch in the edging again if the basket stamp accidentally was over the top of the edging. I think either way works and I definitely appreciate the recommendation and comment!!!
