I just use my iPhone 14 Pro and try to always shoot in 4K and 60fps. It’s not professional, but it’s handy to just reach for my phone rather than a camera. Thank you for watching!
My husband and I have just discovered your videos and have been binge watching all the Turkish content. We absolutely love your channel, you do really wonderful videos, the videography, music choices, and editing is amazing!! I do hope you continue to upload more videos. Thank you for sharing 🥰
Hi.. Can i use 20 seconds from your videos for our presentation for Bulgarıan citizen about Chios Island.? I will be happy if you give permission. Thank you very much..

I know fake police cars look funny. But they really work, especially at night. Because sometimes a real police car comes there. You can only tell if it's fake when you get really close. 😂😂😂
Sorry, I don’t know of any off-hand. If it’s only for a few months, I’d probably recommend checking out Airbnb since you can usually find better deals if you stay a month or more but aren’t looking for a year contract. Thank you for taking the time to watch the video. I appreciate it and good luck with your search!
16:15 that is indeed an olive tree. It’s just an older one, probably over 100 years old and they probably harvested the olives already, or it didn’t bear any olives this year. Olive trees bear fruit every two years.
Thank you! I only recently learned that about olive trees. I saw others with olives on them nearby so I was curious if it was something different. Now I know! Thanks for taking the time to watch!
I’m from Toronto and I’m married to a Turk from Izmir. Married for 35 years but always have lived in Canada/US. About the “figs” when I first got married and went to turkey and tasted the figs I could not stop eating them that I ended up going to the doctor with extreme stomach cramps… I think I ate a bushel myself I’ve never tasted such sweet juicy things in my life…. usually we have them here from California and they sure tasted different. Thank you for sharing your Vlog.
Oh no, I've heard of others having that happen, too. Hopefully it didn't put you off to eating them again... nature's candy, there's nothing else like it. I'm testing my limits, so wish me luck 🤞 Yes, when we lived in California we'd sometimes purchase figs at the farmer's market, but they were never nearly as good and cost around $7-8 for just a few. Turkish figs can't be beat. Thank you so much for watching, I appreciate it :)
In case you weren’t aware please Google dogs and heat temperature. What you are doing to your dog is very dangerous. The heat in Marmaris is way above what a dog his size should be in and the pavements will be too hot for his paws and he will be in pain. I’m just a stranger on the internet I know but please Google and you will find a lot more info on this. The way he is panting was so sad to see. Heat stroke can be lethal within minutes to a dog 😢
Thank you for checking in on her well-being. We visited in spring when temperatures were much lower, plus we carted her around in her stroller mostly and she had plenty of water. I can assure you that the few moments of her panting on film were not representative of her entire day, nor did she showcase any signs of heatstroke. We’ve always consulted with her vet on her health, and they’ve advised us on what sort of conditions she can withstand given her breed and we listen to their advice. I appreciate your understanding and concern. Thank you for watching.
The Hagia Sofia church (now mosque) that I show in the video is said to be where the council met. As far as artifacts from that time period of the church, I am unaware if there are any. The layout of the building gives hints at its past and I could see very faint frescoes on the walls, but I’m unsure of what time period those are from. Sorry, this area of history is not my expertise but I’m sure there is good information out there online about it as I know many tour buses still come through to this day to explore this Christian site. Thank you for watching.
@ohsopom I truly appreciate that you took the time to respond to me. When Paul wrote the letter to the church of Corinth, (Corinthians) which is now Turkey. Any information by chance you have on that?
Sorry, I’m not familiar with it. When I try looking it up it says it’s in Greece (unless I’m searching for the wrong thing). Wish I could be of more help.
Two things: First, your omission, in the wrap-up, of the Geneoese era of Chios for a good 3-4 centuries prior to the Ottoman occupation, is unforgivable. Second, although as you correctly mentioned the massacre of Chios yielded 30000 victims, the English subtitles mention 3000. Good job, otherwise. Now, you can’t do much about correcting the historical record that pertains to the Genovese era of Chios but you surely can correct the number that you stated in the subtitles: the Ottomans slaughtered 30000 not 3000 Chios people. They were your words. Just correct the subtitles please.
@@ericsugimoto Actually, it is. Unforgivable! You know why? because genoese architecture and visual heritage is evident everywhere around the island (especially in the Kambos area, also in Pyrgi village but also throughout the island’s structures.) If, as is the case, no reference is made to the geneose period then how is the visitor supposed to know where this beautiful heritage came from? So, unforgivable? Absolutely! Dramatic? A very inadequate way to describe an omission of this caliber.
How big was that carrier? How did you fit your frenchie inside it? Bella is 26lb and she does not fit at all in the carriers designed by Delta or United. That said, I’m stuck with options on how to travel with my 9y old Frenchie from USA to Brazil :(
I have the Sherpa Original Deluxe in Large and its measurements are 18.0" x 11.0" x 10.5". The shell of it is slightly flexible, though, so it can squish down a bit if the dimensions under the seat are a bit smaller (and the Delta agent confirmed it was good). Fig is also a chunky Frenchie 😆... and at first I thought she would be way too big to fit in the carrier and was really concerned it wouldn't work. I started by putting a treat in the carrier and saying the command "in". I did this over and over again giving her praise and slowly moved the treat further into the carrier until she was eventually all the way in. At this point she would need to turn around to get out. After a few days of practice, I had her lay down after turning around and eventually I'd close the zipper on her and give her praise and a treat when she complied. It was just a few weeks of practice like this over and over again with lots of treats and praise. Eventually, she even went into the carrier on her own to nap. She became so comfortable turning around in it and less clumsy at it than when she started, too. During the trans-Atlantic flight she slept the whole time and we never opened up the zippers since they ask you to keep the carrier closed. I hope you have luck with your Bella :)
I'm from the US, and my partner and I spent 2.5 weeks in Turkey summer of 2022. We were BlOWN away by how affordable Turkey seemed, at least in the coastal parts of the Antalya province. Has it really gotten so much more expensive? That's a bummer to here, b/c we felt like we were getting tremendous value then.
The strength of the dollar vs the lira will certainly be in your favor when vacationing here, but I don't doubt you'd be spending a significantly higher percentage now for the very same hotels, restaurants, etc... than what you spent a few years ago. From what I've experienced, prices are starting to approach and even out a bit more with other European hot spots. Nonetheless, there are so many beautiful areas to visit in Turkey, so it's still worth the visit, but just know it will likely be more than what you paid previously. Thank you for watching!
It is a scientific fact that hot tea will cool you down more than, say, iced tea would. You will sweat more and as it evaporates it will cool you down.
I’m a bit worried about sweating more in order to cool down, but I’ll have to take your advice and try it out. I hope it works 🤞. Thank you for taking the time to watch!
@@ohsopom Please note that this works best in dry heat conditions. If it's hot and humid, the sweat won't evaporate easily and you won't get the cooling effect. If that is the case, I recommend homemade iced tea instead!
Thank you for the great video, learned a lot. You mentioned that Delta Airlines requires a pet carrier with 4 sides of mesh. You added mesh to the top of the Sherpa. Can I ask how you added it? Did you buy mesh and sew it yourself or? I got a 25 pound Frenchie and I'm trying to travel to Japan. Not knowing if the airline will accept the carrier / his size is stressful !
I just unzipped the top portion and crudely taped some mesh (can be purchased at the craft store) to the underside where the opening was and the flap that was unzipped just sort of hung loosely inside the carrier. If you’re handy with sewing I’m sure you could easily enough sew in a few stitches to make it more secure but with the tape I was able to just remove it easily without permanently altering the carrier. Delta never checked the carrier over or asked about it meeting their requirements, but still I wanted to ensure that we followed their rules and weren’t turned away because such a small thing. I wish you luck with your Frenchie!
i Watched the video until you unforgivables went to eat at a... Macdonalds??? In TURKEY????? Were you looking for the WORST Possible food? Why on earth would you EVER go to a God Damned Fast Food Joint??? ESPECIALLY in Turkey, but also everywhere else in the world? LEARN HOW TO EAT PROPER FOOD.
Of all the great foods, you liked these very unhealthy Loukoumades? These are god-awful and crude, as you said, like donuts (but different). It may well be they are the same as the "loukmas' in Turkey. I'd rather have a Baklava with pistachios from Gazi Antep, or a very healthy version we used to make, with zero butter (all olive oil!)
Instead of criticizing and hating the video, why don’t you make a good one yourself.. thank you for the effort you put in this video ❤ and we don’t care how you pronounce Chios. 🤗
PS you cannot be serious if you call this a "bumpy ride", or you have not taken a lot of boat rides so you can compare. Turkey is VERY CLOSE TO CHIOS. In some places the distance is only TWO MILES, so even a slow amateur can SWIM ACROSS in less than an hour or two!
Hi. You keep mispronouncing the island I grew up from 1 to 9 years old. IT IS NOT PRONOUNCED "KIOS". Kios is a TOTALLY DIFFERENT, MUCH SMALLER ISLAND! The island you visited is XIOS, pronounced "CHI" like in "HAVE" or "HERE".
О, прекрасно заснето видео. Поздравявам ви за него. Истинско удоволствие беше разходката из острова. Много пъти съм била в Истанбул, но все не оставаше време да го посетя. Благодаря и ви желая успех на канала. От BG 👏👏
