In the picture of Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable at 5:03-5:07, I imagine that Scarlett and Rhett finally came back to each other and got happiness forever :-) I am a huge fan of GWTW.
Vivien Leigh was truly🌹 GORGEOUS & talented. A natural beauty. God🙏was in a good mood when he created Miss Vivien Leigh. Now a days a lot of women get enhancement to look pretty.
My Mother met Vivien Leigh , during her tour of Australia. I have asked Mum to repeat the story many times over the years. When they met at a garden party. My Mother said that Vivien was very small , and when she smiled , that she became Scarlett, and she was so beautiful.
The songs are not from "an old recording!" Yes, they were recorded on a long-playing phonograph disc, but they were FROM a moderately successful early 1960s MUSICAL COMEDY entitled TOVARICH, in which Leigh co-starred with French actor-singer, Jean-Pierre Aumont. They portrayed exiled Russian nobility--wife and husband--in 1920s Paris, who--to survive--become the parlor maid and valet to a American family. Leigh won a Tony Award as best actress in a musical that season, most likely for having danced a lively Charleston with the young actor portraying the son of their employer. DO YOUR RESEARCH, YOU LAZY TWAT!
She was incredibly talented and beautiful, she was in a film that is not mentioned very much with Robert Taylor called Waterloo Bridge. This is one of my favourite films, second to Gone With The Wind. She was remarkable again in this film. God rest her soul.
I new she had a miscarriage.rest in peace to them godbless them.🌹🌹🌹.i never knew she had a daughter before then at the age a of 19.at least theres plenty of beautiful vivian granchildren still around.👍🌟
Wow, too cool, thanks for sharing. How is it that one of the greatest actresses of the London stage gives two of the best screen performances of all time?!? Yesterday, I watched “Streetcar” for like the 12th time….then turned on TCM (here in Panamá), they were showing GWTW! What a treat!
What an extraordinary life. I don't know if her talent was the only thing that matched her beauty. I think she still rates the single best performance in GWTW in motion picture history. I wish there was treatment for bipolar back then to ensure a less torturous life. I revere her talent as an actress as many did with 2 Oscars and 1 Tony, and 1 BAFTA. She succumbed to a physical and mental illness that plagued her at the age of 53.
I would had seen much better her with her secondo husband lawrence olivier in this 🎥.....i've always prefer sir lawrence olivier to his american colleague robert taylor, especially about acting
There are many gorgeous women in showbusiness but few are really (in my opinion )charismatic on screen and charming as her......her lake's eyes smashed silver screen, she had a soft and beautiful speaking language(even because she estudied diction)but she was especially a versatile actress and it was evident she came from theatre
I've neve met missis vivien mary hartley and so I don't how she was...but many people say she had a pretty troubled life, probably because of her health 's issues too
