I love this video! I could look at her all day and night and not get tired of her. Nobody could match that elegance.

There are many gorgeous women in showbusiness but few are really (in my opinion )charismatic on screen and charming as her......her lake's eyes smashed silver screen,she had a soft and beautiful speaking language(even because she estudied diction)but she was especially a versatile actress and it was evident she came from theatre

Vivien Leigh was a goddess. Great actress, and drop-dead gorgeous to the day she left this earth. The only other star whose beauty matched Vivien's was the Elizabeth Taylor of the years 1950-1960.

We agree on Vivien Leigh. Rita Hayworth was spectacular, no doubt, and I loved her. I also thought she was a better actress than she was given credit for. Unfortunately, she was never given the roles that Vivien Leigh and Elizabeth Taylor got. Rita was a completely different type beauty. There's a great similarity between Vivien Leigh and Elizabeth Taylor. Liz in "Giant", and "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" was blindingly gorgeous. And don't forget Ava Gardner in "The Barefoot Contessa"

Miss Taylor also performed on Broadway in Lillian Hellman's "The Little Foxes" and was nominated for a Tony Award. The "Salome" film to which you allude was a horrendous bastardization of the original Oscar Wilde play. The less said about "The Loves of Carmen, the better. It was a stinker from the word "go". Hayworth's best screen work was at the end of her career ("Separate Tables", "The Story on Page One"). She proved that she was a better actress than she was ever given credit for.

Gilda was a great film; Carmen and Salome were disasters. Miss Taylor was lucky enough to interpret characters of Edna Ferber (Giant), Tennessee Williams (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Suddenly, Last Summer), Edward Albee (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?) F. Scott Fitzgerald (The Last Time I Saw Paris), William Shakespeare (The Taming of the Shrew), Carson McCullers (Reflections in a Golden Eye) and Theodore Dreiser (A Place in the Sun). Miss Taylor also won two Oscars and had five more nominations.

Rita Hayworth was a fabulous dancer, looked stunning in technicolor, and did some wonderful musicals. She was a sex symbol, and one of the leading pin-up girls during World War II. Miss Taylor was groomed differently and had the benefits of great directors, as did Vivien Leigh, another 2 time Oscar winner. Taylor and Leigh were gorgeous women who happened to be best and most challenging roles of their times. Liz, with all her marriages, still never became a sex symbol. She didn't need to.

In Re. your Trivia, Isn't it more likely "Vivien and her friends went to" Disneyland in Anaheim, California. Disneyworld wasn't around in the '60's.

It's all a matter of luck and the way a star is marketed. Miss Hayworth was billed as a sex symbol, and her roles reflected that. She certainly had the goods, and I love watching her. Miss Taylor built her career along different lines. Despite her great beauty, she was a formidable actress. Miss Hayworth never achieved a single Oscar nomination (which she should have in the last years of her active career. How said that her final years were ravaged by Alzheimer's Disease. Very sad indeed.

@robertslistening I'd take Vivien over Hedy in terms of natural beauty and as an actress but that's just my opinion and it's true, they were like long lost twins. Jean Simmons was a little like her as well. However I think that Vivien was gorgeous when she was smiling also! What's My Line absolutely is just addictive and fabulous to watch.
