Join our family as we leave our life in Europe to farm in America.
With nothing more than a few dozen moving boxes filled with our dearest belongings and a strong faith, we dream to some day own land, farm, and make a living off of the land.
Together, let's discover what this new life holds for us. What challenges will we face? Is America still worth pursuing? Join us on this journey of exploration as we find out if the 'land of limitless opportunity' still rings true. Together we'll uncover the realities, the triumphs, and the possibilities of starting anew.
Let's dive in together as we create the life we've always dreamed of!
I’ve been doing my beds at 36” wide with 24” walkways. It seems to be the best compromise to use the space. The fact that I’m 6’4” tall might be a factor though.
Best technique! I retired from the Army where I served as a Blackhawk mechanic and crew chief. We always use ratchet straps to secure loads to the cabin floor. I was shown this wrap maybe 15 years ago and I have taught everyone willing to learn how to maintain and store their straps so they'll be ready to use and remain in serviceable condition. Great demonstration and explanation! Thanks for sharing!
One does not need to be on RU-vid, or any "social" media, to share and to help. Go traditional. Go old school. Go analog. That is, share and help by organizing and teaching, giving seminars, helping out locally. To and for your neighbors. To and for the local region where you live now. Share and help those closest and nearest to you. They may need it the most. Consider the simple healing one can do with just a hand on the shoulder on someone in need. You do not have to preach. Just to let them know you are there. So many people need this. I know you know what I mean. Personal interaction. You can not do that "online". Hope this helps.
It seemed you had the best life in Sweden, I’ve often wished I could live there. It’s very different here in the US, I hope you don’t end up regretting your move.
You are so right. We have everything here. Nature, free to explore for everyone. Excellent health care, no schools fees, a social network, paid parental leave for more than a year just to mention a few advantages. Some say the taxes are high, but it all depends on how you compare. If we get critically ill, we never have to worry about getting bankrupt. 💙💛
has anyone here tried speeding up wood chip composting by adding urine, urea, chemical nitrogen forms, sugar etc? i saw this guy using urine on youtube but didn't speak much about his results. adding chicken manure is basically the same but slower, very good idea if you have animals. any advice from experience is much appreciated, thankyou!
Jesus christ I winced watching this! The gob was cut way too big, and he then practically sliced through the tiny hinge - and nearly left no hinge whatsoever! V dangerous to do the back cut on the same level. This is NOT the way to cut a tree using a basic felling cut. The reason there's danger in what they did, is because he cut the gob way too big, and left no hinge, not because the cuts are on different levels. Source - I work in wildlife conservation and cut trees a lot!
Dry, warm bedding...clean water with a bit of sugar and apple cider vinegar in it. Teach them to drink and where the food is. Let them get a bit hungry and then introduce chopped greens.

My friends, regardless of your personal views, our United States is never "too full", and we welcome you and your family. We will pray for you 🙏. My only caution is for you to be vigilant about anti-democratic groups who may target you for support.
The stihl 500i isn’t the first chainsaw with fuel injection, there was one in the 50’s or 60’s that didn’t catch on, but that company is no longer around to sue them for false advertising
Question, how much property do you need for two of these sheep? We have a smaller lot and would love to add sheep but I want to make sure we have enough property to have sheep
Thank you so much for letting us know you're doing well. Privacy is very important. I bless you and if you will be back in some capacity, we will welcome you. It is most important to put your family first.
I feed my father's cattle in the hay field.... during the winter months .... cows eat and poop in the field... supplying fertilizer to the alfalfa ... seems to really work well ...the alfalfa is healthy...
Dear Simeon, Thank you for bringing us up to date. I and my prayer group will continue to pray for you and your family. I am glad to hear that things are going well. Sincerely In Christ Jesus, Larry Clarence Lewis London Ontario Canada.
