I wish you were coming to America in 1950 when so many of us were growing up on beautiful family farms, and enjoying so many happy days in our safe, Christian communities. My mother's grandparents came here from Malmo and had a good life in rural New Hampshire. Those days are long gone. So many things have changed, and I am sorry . I wonder what America will be like in the days to come. I wish you all the best.

@@belamoure not sure where you get your information, but this is not quite as accurate as you might think. Yes, there are guns, and lots of them, because we have a history of protecting ourselves against tyranny, and we like to hunt (the US is huge and staying away from gang infested neighborhoods in the big cities is not that hard to do). And drugs, but it's not like it's unsafe to go outdoors for fear of accidental inhalation. ... and as if there aren't drugs in Europe ... or other dangers, too.

As a follower since Sweden and as an Austrian I loved to see you fall in love with my country. Sad to see you go and on the other hand I am exited with you to see your new beginnings in the states. I did hear about the Swedish government wanting everyone to move because they wanted to mine for a mineral but everyone was fighting for staying. Then you moved without saying it was the reason. Does anyone know what happened to Simeon's parents, brothers, and sisters-in-law back in Sweden? Are they still there or did the Swedish government take the property for drilling for natural resources? I remember that's why Simeon and Alex moved, and to pursue another opportunity, but is the rest of Simeon's family still there?

Best wishes for your move, I hope it will be all you are wishing for. Will society be very different to where you have been living in Europe up until now? So much of the news from the USA seems very partisan, with people intractably supporting one pol. party or the other.
