Other three military trucks and there's a lower side to the transmission and a high side and they have more contact on the ground than what that truck does❤
I've had a a deuce with a winch on the front and it ran a multi-fuel and two 5 tonnes I missed the five times cuz it was a Troop Carrier and I can get 4 1/2 5 ton of firewood on it❤🇺🇲🏆✌👍👍👍😎
Man I have an 1971 M816,....34,000 pounds of the most labor intensive wrecker ever designed lol....but I love it so. that 816 looks great whosever it is
For some funny reason American M35, M923 (and other) military 6×6 trucks don't have differential lockers. Why is that? Is it because of the military doctrine?
Because America built these machines specifically for off road use. They werent built for highways soo the diffs are always locked for better grip off road
The throttle control air cylinder is out of adjustment on the M816...or it just doesn’t work. Notice how it rev’s continuously higher under no load. The max rpm is like 1200 or so for the rear controls. The engines governor will rev the engine if it needs more power via the air assist on the ptg/vs pump. Its never a good idea to use the hand throttle on the dash to control the crane. The hydraulic fluid gets extremely hot when moving that fast and dead heading. The rear dragline winch is driveshaft driven...its maximum is 1000 rpm. The front winch maximum is 1800 rpm.
