Come adventuring with me and learn about the shells and beaches of Plum Island MA! Together we'll collect some amazing Atlantic beach finds, you'll get tips on beach combing and I'll teach you a bit about marine life.
Shelling and the possibility of what's under the next rock or around the next corner has always intrigued me. Recently, my wife and I moved into a log cabin in Newbury Massachusetts. The smell of salt in the air is something I'll always enjoy. I spend my free time on the beaches of Plum Island searching for sand dollars, moon snails, beach wood and sea glass and that ever elusive doubloon. I'm not a marine biologist or an ecologist, I just love the ocean and want to share all its goodness with the world. My collection of sea treasure has really grown over the last year so I thought I would share all of my finds with those who love the sea as much as I do.

I grew up close to Plum Island and miss it very much. It was wonderful to see you picking up those beautiful shells and visiting the beach thank you very much.
I just found your channel tonight and I have been so impressed with the videos I've seen already. I'll be watching many more. I was so excited to purchase from your Etsy store, but I think it's gone. I'm in the south and I'm familiar with warm water shelling, but your mega moons are gorgeous and the scallops are phenomenal. Any chance you will open another Etsy store? I subscribed and I'm loving your videos!
so good to see you again. such a beautiful trip to the beach today. lots of beautiful shells today and oh the idea of a small bottle of shells sounds wonderful. take care and we'll see you on the beach ☺💜🐚
Those horse crabs you find not be dead ones, but rather the shed exoskeleton of the creature. One way to quickly determine that is to look at underside of shell. If it has a clean slit along the edge, it is merely the shed exoskeleton that it has shed. Just like lobsters, crabs and other animals that have exoskeleton, as they continue to grow, they shed the old shell, so they can grow a new one that is big enough for them. I have a shed outer skeleton of a horse show crab in my collection.
So glad to see you back on the beach! You know those sand dollars just made me squeal with delight! The beach is so beautiful. Thanks for sharing your beach walk. Not often enough ! I miss seeing your videos.

Hi there! Go to the Parker River Wildlife Refuge. All of the gates are closed for plovers, but at the end of the dirt road, there is a beach called Sandy Point. To the left are the Bar Head rocks. Go to those Rocks about 2 hours before low tide and shell the outgoing tide :) Good luck!!
