I was wondering whether the first few minutes of the episode ought to look back to the previous one and compare the tier list to the eventual tournament rankings; yes there are so many variables (it is a dice game) but you may be over or underestimating certain lists or combinations so a short period of reflection might be interesting.
It's a good idea! I guess there's a world where if people haven't seen all the context behind the previous episode, they might feel a bit lost - but I definitely agree that reflection on how our previous takes panned out would be interesting for viewers to see!
Hard disagree on helm not being released. He’s aesthetically so different in the anime trailer from the current model + so central to the story there’s no way they’d not release a new model for him to keep in line with the new movie.
Is nobody gonna talk about how all the new models (on foot and on horse) have single leg contact with the base making them fragile? And the fact you don't get quite as much stuff (for terrain at least) in comparison with osgiliath boxset?
I think two of the four have single leg contact, the other two have two legs - I guess more legs planted on the base means that the pose is likely more static! Fair point on the terrain, although every single model you'd be getting in the new box is a new sculpt where the majority of the Osgiliath box were old sculpts!
@@GollumGamers granted somewhat about posing and such but osgiliath was more expensive then pelenor fields back in the day so im guessing this will come with similar or more expensive pricing then even osgiliath box
so WHEN will the new edition release? 15th of August they said *soon* . What is *soon* in GWs terms? In irl terms this would be like *within the next 4 weeks if we are lazy* xD
Haha to be fair I'm pretty sure they said they'll be providing more updates in the coming months - and it's only been just over a month since the new edition was revealed!
Even if people can't see it Live, for instance I will be out of town on a trip, it will be great to catch the video afterwards. Something to keep in mind is maybe an overlay that shows Wounds Might Will Fate used and spent and, if possible, keeping a more zoomed in view of the battle line since typically from a Top down view it's very hard to see what is going on. I've got an overlay lined up which has a round timer - but no stats or anything I'm afraid! Would be far too hard to keep this updated and accurate throughout the stream 😢
Hello guys, im rather new to the game but enjoy it a lot without even playing myself yet. But i wanted to ask if you could use one different dices for the factions so i can understand much easier who rolled what? Like just all dices one colour?
This is something I always do every single time I play SBG, but the guys love using all kinds of different dice when they play! I'll try make it clearer though 🙂
Purely looking at the list in terms of characters that aren’t even here and what you see at Tournaments it’s something I really hope changes in the new edition, certain heroes SHOULD be S tier heroes in game like the fact Gil-Galad can be so easily shut down is such a shame in competitive events etc he and so many models like him just aren’t that viable. P.S as someone who plays lothlorien in basically 8/10 games of SBG I play I’d say Rumil is my first pick out of the 3 brothers, Haldir only ever gets a look in for the extra guys. Yes he can bring strike but the moment Haldir is in there striking in the thick of it I’m worried Oraphin I wasn’t sure on at launch but I’ve really warmed to him maybe the dice have been kind but he always cuts through troops to help break the model count difference. After the Blinding light/shooting spam (scenario dependant of course)
Yeah never even seeing heroes like Gandalf the White is so disappointing considering how iconic they are! And yeah I've heard the same things about Orophin - just there to blend troops!

As a big dunland/isengard player ironskin always fails me (love the look of the model) but he is the definition of a whiff I can never roll higher then a 4 with him😂
Is the Witch-King actually good in combat? Only being Fight 5 is a major drawback. He has to Strike against basic warriors. If he takes a lucky wound, he can suddenly be out of Might and Fate. He’s obviously very good, but I don’t know about best in the game
Sure he has to strike against F5+ troops but those definitely aren't your basic warriors that you're always facing against! It's the whole package of things he brings to the table that make him the best hero in the game (in our opinion), the combat potential is just one part of that - which is pretty good tbh!
Congrats on 1k guys. You mentioned a south of England SBG chat. How do you go about joining that? I live in South and have attended a few tournaments so would be good to get involved if its open to anyone. Keep up the good work!
Thanks a lot mate! It isn't actually a South England SBG chat, just something a few mates setup a few years ago - it's now mostly full of people not even in the South! 😁😂
Nice batrep! Could the twins really shoot at the goblin captain from the third rank like that? Seems unlikely there wouldn't be any LoS coverage at all from the first rank, but hey, I'm not there :-)
They are mounted so they can draw line of sight over foot troops pretty easily. It's a big reason why Saruman/Gandalf/Legolas are usually mounted. Even if they were on foot, they ignore the rank in front of them (normal shooting rules) and might be able to shoot through a gap in the first rank depending on spacing.
@@Murkglow I know how it works, just looked unlikely that their true LoS would be entirely unimpeded by any portion of any model in the front line. It’s a question for the players.
@@_ccann I think he was fine as wargear doesn't count towards in the way, so it's quite unusual that you can't shoot over models in front to be honest!

@@GollumGamers Stannis the Mannis was also my fav in the show but they've ruined his character near the (garbage fire) end/last few seasons. (He is perfect in the books)
I really hope we see a whole new set of Dunland models based on the anime with this kind of evil barbarian aestethic. The trailer shows off infantry, archers, cavalry and even mumakil! I love the dark clothing, fur pelts, celtic tattoos and skull masks they have too. It's much different from the older Dunland faction, which reminds me more of Vikings or evil-looking Rohirrim. The older models could work great as an Eotheod faction, basically the ancestors of the Rohirrim from the mountain valleys of the far north.
I love the transfer of the anime to the tabletop, you can see the anime in it but it'll fit in with the current system. Nice to hear a lot of positivity on this one unlike the Angmar one.
1. We need a battle report...Sam vs. Vince. Sam using Vlads list and Vince using his(or something similarish, assuming no one has a mounted Thorins company converted up). #JusticeforVlad 2. Vince is a hero of the community for teaching everyone how to say harbinger correctly. Can't remember what epsiode it was from but have been meaning to thank him for his heroism.
