I wouldn’t recommend it, especially if you swim in it. Acrylic doesn’t let you breathe since it’s synthetic. The only option would be to line your bikini with cotton fabric on the inside :)
No you can make it for free by watching the video. My Etsy pattern is designed for people that want a written version of everything that is explained in the video tutorial!
I think I’m going to try and make it!!! I’m kinda scared cuz I’m picky about sweaters haha but this looks cozy and a little oversized so I’m exited! I’ll update later
You could yes! Although if you use the same size of hook, which is way bigger than a hook you’d use for a weight 4 yarn, it will make larger gaps so it won’t look as densely and tightly crocheted as the one I made. However you could use a weight 4 and the appropriate hook size and then just make more stitches when you’re making your panels! So chain to a width that is the size you desire to make. Hope this helps.
Hi Marie I’m so happy your video popped up for me to see. I love the way you’ve done the sleeves first before completing the body of the sweater. The videos I followed before coming across your tutorial, all do the body of the sweater first then do the sleeves last which is a lot of work left to do! That’s my opinion anyway so thank you for this genius idea❤
Oh no! Did you follow the beginning correctly with the stitches to form your corners? The only thing I can think of is that you were doing your side stitches continuously
@@itsmariec in the video it looks like front loops. The loop closest to you and furthest away are the front loops while the loops in the center are back loops I believe
No these are the back loops. Closest to you and furthest. They are the back loops since when you then turn your sweater right side out, your assembly is through the back loops only. Hope that clears it up for you :)
I just made this. Here are my thoughts: Absolutely awesome The sleeves for me at least turned out slightly funny shaped, but i also just kinda put decreases wherever because i forgot to do them at the start... The back had a weird bump so I had to take of the back panels, that might just be a sizing issue or the wool I used Tie all the ends! I didn't tie them and when I finished, one of the rows was unravelling. Trust. In. The. Process. It was looking weird literally up until I finished it. Use a thin wool for it to be flowy like the video and a slightly thicker one for a more stiff shape All in all it was a great pattern and I love it.
I love this! Are you making a size small or medium in this video? I’m more of an xs so I wanted to see if I should do 16 rows or 18 rows for the hexagon
I would say it’s probably a large since it’s very oversized. I typically wear a medium in women’s clothing :) measure a sweater width wise you want it to be and then divide it by two. Then you’ll know how wide you want to make your hexagon. I’d say do 16 rows and stop to mesure it on you!
Would I be able to add buttons at the front and not sew it up in order to turn this into a cardigan rather than a sweater, or would the pattern need to be adjusted?
You could! I’m not entirely sure on how to integrate dedicated button holes into a granny stitch pattern. But because there are obviously holes within this pattern, then yes you could totally do this! My guess would be to identify which holes you’ll be using as button holes within the natural gaps of the granny stitch pattern. Maybe go around the chosen openings with another color or a thread in order to always be placing your buttons into the same holes and that its symmetrical!
