My only concern is adding more strain to the sliding mechanism. I can only imagine that the mechanism was designed to be enough for the weight of the door and not much more.

The wire gauge will be interesting. I would like to use a LI battery and a solar panel mounted at the rear of my roof rack as they don't weigh much.

It looks pretty close, would you not be worried of the positive terminal earthing off the underside of the seat when it's fitted?

On a VW T6 you can try to push the plastic part below the front of the seeat towards you to make it loose and just use a socket to take the nut off

Came with my Van, nice table. I added extra Sequoia table bases, so I can have multiple mounting locations. Also put a table mount on one of the van's panel covers, makes a nice smaller table, for one.

Buy a big quality thermal throw over , and some strong magnets 🧲 , Choose any colour you like . Job done , Warmer and better , and no drilling , Multi purpose too , and really easy to wash . 🙄 T6.1 owner , cost me £25

Fitted mt swivel to a t6, very stiff had to loosen the center bolt and grease the plate, slightly better but not as slack as the video shows. Hits the side of the van and the hand break at the same time. I bought the hand break lowering bracket, which I cannot use as the seat hits it. Have I gone wrong?
