Well I’ll be honest, That battery you have calls for maintenance, Have you tried Rewatering with distilled water, and charging for 24-36 hours??? Because that’s what your supposed to do, It’s not interstates fault, It’s fault on the owner and not knowing what your doing! It’s a 5-6 year battery depending on what you went with, first 2 years/ 2 1/2 years free replacement. After that yea you have to pay a small fee. but orileys and auto zone only warranty 1 battery, 1 time after that ur screwed. Interstate on the other hand, Even if you have to pay the small 80$ for a new battery, Your whole 5-6 year warranty starts over! Also it depends on if you cheaper out and got the lesser of the two, If you have a diesel, And you went for cheap, That’s your fault my guy! Should’ve gone for the better, And also, Both of those batteries require you to do the maintenance, 🤷♂️🤦♂️
Alternator is the main thing absolutely If you want good battery get a motormaster The good one Also spark plugs changed Batteries are rare if you have a good alternator But on journeys it’s the plus prong litterly sheet metal shaped as a prong and rusty All that replaced its excellent Other then that Use premium fuel That will loosen the stress on your parts and clean it We went to premium and never left Regular once in a blue moon God bless 🫶🏻♾️🙏🏼🏆❤️🖖🏼🙌🏻🌏🌍🌎
Nice job, thanks for the info. I have a 05 with a 6.0 in it and it's pretty much the same way, just on the passenger side front. You may be right about them using recycled lead, but I think it could also be controlled obsolescence.
That's really good. It's so nice to have something that's easy to deal with! also, it's an excellent thing to have a husband who is handy...I have one of those! ❤
Thanks, Neal! I know little about engines besides charging dead batteries and filling up the gas, oil, and wiper fluid. I know I never want to hear a mechanic say the problem with a vehicle is the alternator because, it seems, it’s always a pricey endeavor to have it replaced. Your explanation of how to replace the alternator on a 2002 Ford Super Duty 7.3 Diesel makes me think I should try to find one, if for no other reason than, to be able to change the alternator.😉
Thanks for sharing your experience. Just last week my Interstate battery MTP 34/78DT went dead and now I am trying to decide whether I want to stick with Interstate or not. I own a 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 VHO and I have had three-(3) Interstate batteries, but I think the original battery was a AC Delco and it lasted 6 1/2 years from when I purchased my truck in July 2005]. In my truck's maintenance records, the first replacement battery I purchased was a Interstate Mega-Tron Plus MTP 34/78DT in January 2012 while I was residing in northern Virginia. In July 2017 that battery went dead, so I purchased another Interstate battery MTP 34/78DT while I was visiting family in Houston, Texas. In July 2019 while residing in northwest Florida that battery went dead, so I received a free new Interstate battery MTP 34/78DT because it was under warranty. All I had to provide was a copy of my purchase receipt and the auto garage shop [Interstate battery dealer] took care of the rest and my new battery arrived within a couple of days with their weekly delivery of batteries.
@@NeiloftheNorth While I have been recently looking through my past receipts, I am a little confused about the business in Houston, Texas where I purchased the battery in 2017. I thought IBS OF Houston meant Interstate Batteries Service of Houston, but when I did a search today it means Industrial Bearing and Service. The address on my receipt is the same as INTERSTATE BATTERIES OF HOUSTON 3014 OLD SPANISH TRL HOUSTON, TX 77054. In 2017 I purchased the Interstate MTP34/78DT which I think it had a 36-month warranty, but the battery I turned in to IBS of Houston was a 85-month warranty. Maybe they prorated it because they noted it 66-months old. This Thursday, August 01, 2024 my new Interstate battery MTP34/78DT is expected to arrive at the auto garage shop.
I like this channel too Neil. 🎣🦈…I’m a fishhead myself👍🏽 Get yourself some 5/16 th O-rings to save on the rubber worms. Center the O-ring and put your hook through it instead of the worm.
@@NeiloftheNorthwill do man! Working on what is hopefully a last prototype. The last prototype has caught me a 4.5 and 5 lb largemouth, plus 20 other fish.
What a great dad you are to share all the fun and skills of hunting and fishing. I'd bet they get so excited when you mention any up and coming events you plan for them. I know you had lot's of fun fishing with your daughter and I know she did too. Have a good evening!
My ex was a tournament bass fisherman. He would thread the end of the worm onto the hook about and inch or inch and a half inside the worm then poke the end of the hook out. Push it up to where it's tied on. Never had a bass throw the worm. I do this with half a night crawler and pound the fish. just my 2 cents. Love the shirt.
Use short periods of time to create amazing experiences. We had to do this in only an hour. A storm was moving in and we had to pack for the RNC but we took the time and I'm so glad we did.
