@@EliaEll I am aware, however, she does not say "With my solemn sword I promise", but "With my sword I solemn promise". I think in this case she is refering to the act of doing a promise with solemnity, which in Spanish can be said as "solemne prometo" (she, Cassandra, is the omitted noun and "solemne" is the adjetive). I dont know how to translate it to english without adverb. Anyway, is not important. Sorry, it was just a doubt of how could it be translated.
@@jolly5886 It makes sense. We would need to see the written lyrics cause commas would be needed to see the exact meaning of the sentence. The way you're putting it, it should be "con mi espada, solemne, prometo vencer" which is something you can't tell just by listening to the song. Especially while singing, in a spoken sentence it would be different.
idk if anyone has commented on this but there are some errors in the icelandic translations and lyrics, it's supposed to be 'og ég hef þig í hjartanu á mér' not 'og ég geymi þig í hjartanu á mér' and therefor the translation would rather be 'and I have you in my heart' rather than 'and I keep you in my heart' also i'd make a difference with the translation of 'og hún er greið'. a more fitting translation would be 'and it is clear' instead of 'and it is possible' great video though :))
