I have a 1999 Camaro Convertible and I have the top down most of the year, in the summer its in the morning on the way to work, in the winter it on the way home, spring/fall sometimes both. Get the clear uv film put on those t-tops, it blocks way more than factory GM tintied glass but doesnt hinder vision through it,,
Looking back at it I’m honestly not sure. I think I wanted to look at the cam lobes which doing that gives some visibility, but don’t think it’s required.
Except tail lights falling off ! 😮 my Z28 never fell off, and its a 95 ! Dash board cracks, check..roof needing to be repainted check, ride height, check...all were present on both my '95 Z and my 2000 WS6. Don't forget the infamous 10 bolt rear 😢 Now as for the window motors, yes they are slow, but if you want to make it easier rolling them up, open the door when rolling either 😉 side up. Makes it so much easier on the motors 😮 Nothing is perfect brother But your SS sounds and looks great. Just learn to take the good with the bad, give and take.
Happened to me when i was working on my Volvo 240. Changed the alternator and the car wouldn't turn on afterwards. Crank sensor wire got pinched between the block and the frame and shorted out 🫨
I’ve got a 02 Camaro SS that I THINK has a bad o2 sensor. It’s in limp mode now after we’ve had some tremendous rain. Would a bad o2 sensor cause limp mode/misfires?
What year is your Camaro?.. I have an 01' and was wondering if it has an MLS from the factory or composite head gasket.. Is your original head gasket MLS? Thanks
These cars are easy to slide even unintentionally. The reason you’re having difficulty has been mentioned in the comments, limited slip doesn’t work so well on yours. Of course it’s hard to slide with only power going to one tire.
Being able to daily driver a loose converter really comes down to what you can tolerate. I drove a 3600 around for 6 months and hated it because it always sounded like I was hauling ass every where I went. Fun as all hell but annoying to go to the grocery store or take the kids to school.
I just bought a 99 Chevy Camaro and notides after I got home the rear sway bar Is not connected Its just there and it hangs down a bit too low for my comfort but I got It from a family member very cheap. Thanks for posting this.I wonder If I can buy just the bushings?
I was thinking of putting those struts in my car, but on Summit it didn't show the fronts as having a spring perch. Just got my 4th gen a few weeks ago, si I'm not sure if it comes with it, or if I need to somehow remove it from the old one and put it on the new one?
I think I had to swap mine over which really wasn’t difficult, but I do remember having the same question before I ordered mine. I think I actually ordered new perch’s instead of removing old ones.
Thank you so much for mentioning socket sizes that you used. I swear, so many other DIY repair vids/write ups and they just go at it with out even mentioning socket sizes needed.
