I agree with Chelshe... Matt should have stopped after that huge straightening. The hit, regardless of severity, should have been deemed Matt's fault because he had already 0'd out and should not have been a factor at that point in the run. I think that this was one of those fluke things where Matt was able to get back into the chase, which normally doesn't happen after someone messes up that bad. I would say the rules should say that if a driver incompletes in the chase, any contact after that point should be their fault.
Odi vs Rome would be a great example of why we need in car cameras at the judges disposal. It would have been great to see Romes hands to confirm him giving up or the wheel being yanked out of his hands
Right off the bat with some bad info. You can control your slide and momentum with throttle in a FF so long as you are simultaneously using e-brake to keep the rear traction broke.
But if matt’s run was zero where he zeroed and hit lz I feel like it would either way be matt’s fault because he continued if he didn’t continue and hit him lz would have finished (all speculations at this point)
I don't know the rules 100%, but I feel like it should have been OMT for LZ & Field, just based on the previous round with James Deane, I forgot who was chasing him, but he messed up and then Deane straightened later in the track. So in this run, did the judges not treat Fields straighten as a fault?
I just don't understand how you don't know why Adam shut it down when he explained it and it's plain to see in his video. Did you not watch his video or talk to him?
I think the car being front rad also has a small part to play in this too. Adam said he felt that car would've fully spun, running the risk of trashing the front end. Saving the car cost him in this case.
With the new rules. The OMT is only for good driving. This isn’t a OMT run. But they are supposed to reward good driving and ignore mistakes. Which they did in pro spec. I forgot the driver but he spun coming out of IC3. But still got the win because it was an over all better run. And if they would have did that for Adam. He should have gotten the win.
Matt already zero'd the runner prior to the contact so the hit already doesn't matter. Matt did hit him... Adam shut down to save his radiator because if he got back into it (per Adam) was going to spin. Dean hit clips in both lead and chase... I vote OMT or Dylan
Love the 4k content man keep it up ! Also I'm 100% on your side of opinion for all the ''drama'' battle , even before seeing this.. I think a lot of people are starting to watch this sport (which is really awesome!) But Don't really understand it properly yet and do some favoritism while watching, And that's okai cause its like any other sports and that show interest ! Anyway can't wait to see you rage in the Porshe man take care.
I would recommend FD putting in-car cams in all cars. If you see Adams in-car footage, matt being stuck in him on the transition, loaded up the pendulum effect, so when the cars separated, his back end wanted to pass him out. It's controversial to promote damage, and damaging cars in the spirit of "entertainment". Matt field has done exactly what Adam did and shut down in the past when he was hit from behind. Old rules Adam would have won, new rules, Adam looses, that's turds man. I agree a OMT was the best outcome, but the judges don't want OMT's, because it "takes too long" 🙄
i think the clutch kick from mat when he was already in adams trunk should be enought. Adam should have floored it and spun out to make it obvious to the judges...
Chealsea what about what the rule says 4.3.2. CHASE DRIVER INCOMPLETES: • If the Chase driver Incompletes the chase will receive an Incomplete for that run, however the Lead driver must continue the finish the course to receive a completed and judged run because he is UNOBSTRUCTED and NOT AFFECTED by the Chase who Incompleted behind him, independently of any other factors.unobstructed
Is it not the chase drivers job to give way to a lead drivers transition? Considering Adam didn’t un reasonably decel or drop vehicle speed it would seem it’s purely Matt’s fault for being too deep and not giving way to the lead drivers transition.. obviously judges don’t want drivers taking the easy way out and shutting down every time after they feel any minor contact so could be hard to judge for sure. But considering Matt stops Adam’s car from rotating it’s clearly a big enough hit to be Matt’s fault I would think?
the contact with Matt caused adam to go to full lock while going downhill which is a corner where you need slightly shallow angle to be able to hit the last inner clip
