Well done lads that was a great adventure for ye. how long did it take ye. I walked it before and it took me 6 hours there is a small pass going down to the right of the Devil's ladder it would have been a lot easier then going down the David ladder
The worst thing you can do on a descent is to sit on a bike. What should be done is to shift yout weight over rear wheel and really be on a front brake to level you out. Fair play to ya.
i also haven't been in traction in several years, since before the felling. is the pump track still there? looks terrible without the trees. i always took the drop slowly as i nearly murdered a jack russel there once, although in your vid its obviously been very eroded since i saw it last. there used to be a small stepdown/ledge in the middle that would kick many OTB this would have been before dropper posts were standard.
If you kept going straight at 7:58 instead of going back down the hill you could've gotten to Garryduff quicker! I went up to the trail in Donnybrook a few times about 2 years ago, it was a good spot. Went up again last week for the 1st time in ages and it doesn't seem to looked after anymore. The wooden drop is half stripped apart and some of the other drops are wrecked too!
What is for you the easiest red line? "Les 3 tours" or "Nerine"? I go this summer for the first time to Leysin. I only can do downhill on summer holiday, so some advice would help. Thx!🤙
It's been over 12 years since I've ridden in Tracton. None of this looks familiar, I suppose since they felled the trees and it's all wide open. Decent video.
Bad enough going up the evils ladder with a bike but going down it ye are mental. There's a better route you could've taken down had you carried on passed the devils ladder. Ye got a cracking day for it though
I'm from tralee my english is not perfect but I think that for mtb or enduro there is no language other than adrenaline, when you go back to carrauntoohil write me I would spend getting up and down on the bikes
Thank you :D And yeah I have the gps link but I would definitely recommend that you go riding with someone there first to show you the way because there are a few sections before you even get to the trail where you can fall off the edge pretty easily 😬. I also can’t recommend the downhill track to aigle itself just because it’s so steep, but if you’re comfortable with trails like that then it’s really fun!
