Fantastic! Was searching for a video just like this! I assume with JoyShockMapper, that you don't need to add the controller via the Star Citizen controller settings?
Very nice! Since I saw the Gulikit King Kong 2 Pro controller I've been wondering if it can be used this way as for SC flight. I think you are using a Playstation controller?
I'm using some cheap rubber/(silicone?) ones, that give about 12mm extension, then i used heat shrink tubing to make sure they don't come off, because they did, during dogfights.
i find the extenders are helpful, mainly because they absorb my stress when i'm in a fight and allows me to not push too hard on the controller or take on stress in my hands/fingers. 2ndly they give a little extra range of motion/accuracy it's hard to say how much this helps. I also use a small smoothing curve on my thrust so that small adjustment are available, for landing. I highly recommended working to flying decoupled as much as possible. I'm now flying 90% like this, with the help of the extenders and the smoothing curve. Lately, I have change my left trigger to _space brake_ so that i have a way to stop "still" ie. - relative to celestial bodies, space stations and mission ships. We want remove the number of mode switches, this really messes with all the muscle memory we want to build and real world intuition we want to leverage.
@@cielferma interesting, the heat shrink idea sounds excellent. am i correct in assuming the heat shrink goes around the extenders and the bottom of the sticks?
an awesome solution for anyone who owns a PS5 DS controller and should be a genuine consideration for anyone looking for Personally I'd put roll to be L/R on right stick L/R and up down to be pitch Up/Down
Very good vid, i was wanting to try a PS controller on SC. Ty. I also HIGHLY suggest trying a space mouse, its 6DOF on one hand only. It works AMAZING for spaceflight. You'll need to use "control my joystick" to fine tune the rates and add custom curves to certain DOFs to really dial it in to your style.
@@cielferma yes, i use it all the time. But you need to use "control my joystick" app to change the curves to make slow speed moves a little softer. Works amazing. Way easier to land and manoeuvre through asreroids. 1 handed.
A fellow controller pilot! Very interesting. I ended up buying a set of rudder peddles with toe brakes to get 6-dof. But, this is a cool solution for even cheaper.
@@cielfermaIt is worth noting that Chris Roberts appears to prefer playing with a gaming controller whenever he played for CIG video content. Really impressive they are putting in the effort to accept a wide variety of devices.
@KareemHarper thanks, ya i heard that, i wonder how he plays because the default inputs are super weird. If i remember correctly one needs to shift modes to move the nose of the ship, cause without gyromouse you only really get 2 joysticks on the controller (4dof). Hence my speculation about the triggers for fwd/back (5th) and roll on gyro (6tg). Unfortunately because of how the roll is implemented by JoyShockMapper, this is currently not feasible (as i see it) because gyroroll is fixed to be right thumb stick X, which blocks the X & Y of the right thumb being assigned to anything else.
thanks they do _look_ better on, on twitch, i'll ramp up my quality setting as i can. I really just want to show org game play, and how ---> NOT using the contract manager is the real game!!!
I just played the one shot and the mj used all 3 songs during the adventure: it worked VERY WELL. I consider these versions to be the the true ones! ;) Good job
Possibly will be running a streamed game of this adventure as a one shot, and wondering if it's alright to use your recordings of the rhyme for ambiance. Got them on bandcamp a while ago for some home games, and damn if it didn't freak out the groups. <3
Do you mean, the original lyrics in the book? I did notice many people have changed the lyrics, to fit other tunes, but not because they felt the were bad. I was mostly just curious about what, the under lying tune was. So I really had to keep the lyrics. I obviously had to double up the chorus. What chorus has no repetition? I took the bold as as old school x2 after it!
@@cielfermaYes, the original in the book. I feel like Wizards have always had a track record for bad poems. Like, lots of mangled syllables and stuff. The changes you made definitely help though
Just used this in an Adventure League game. We got a speaker and played it on repeat for all the tables. We even had a timer go off for each event. It was so creepy and excellent. I got under my players skin in all the right ways. Thanks!
Hi, I don't know if you're familiar with this "Julian Stephens" channel (ru-vid.com/show-UCs8uwgt831r-Tt0Yqy353NA) but it looks like they just took your BandCamp tracks and re-uploaded them.
Wow. Like how you made Shemshime Rhyme into a creepy tune. For my YT Channel, I am working on a Walkthrough and Review of the Shemshime's Bedtime Rhyme Adventure. With your permission, I would like to incorporate your video into mine. Of course, I will give you credit in the Video and the Description Section. Hope the answer is yes. Either way, Thanks and Cheers!
@@cielferma Thanks. Since, I did not hear from you sooner, I already recorded Shemshime's Rhyme using an alternate voice. However, yours is much better, and I will be re-recording my video to use yours instead. Again, Thank You very much.

The party returns home after completing a task, but they hear a strange song as they approach, growing louder with each step. When they arrive at their house, they find a strange music box playing an addictive melody, left by one of their enemies (but which one?). Soon, they find themselves humming it unconsciously, then discover that anyone who hears the tune, starts humming it too...
Thanks so much, if you like you can buy (no pressure) all three versions (Broken Music Box, Fixed Music Box / Complete Lyrics & Instrumental) on Band Camp, cielferma.bandcamp.com/album/music-for-candlelight-mysteries

hi there Matthew, I didn't do it because it would be a spoiler, and left the last verse bank as foreshadowing, for your players, but if you let me know the context you would like the last verse for i will.
@@cielferma I would love to have a version with the final verse. I was imagining playing this version when they find the music box, or have the Kenku sing it for them, and when the music box was fixed I would play the full version. If you could make it, that would be awesome! If not, I understand!

If you're looking for a more traditional version, with a Lullaby and Music box, try this... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-R2v8Wsiwvuw.html
