This is amazing. What do you think is required to for this to a old Jaguar V12 engine (old 3 speed GM TH400 auto) - just a new adapter plate presumably to match the bolt pattern, & custom length/adapted propshaft?
Can you give me more info how to emulate the stock ecu to communicate correctly with turbo lamik tcu? I have 2jz ge and have all bmw 8hp stuff including tcu, adapter plate, etc. But this is the 1st time I hear you can connect the stock ecu to turbo lamik. I want to make the same swap leaving my engine stock for this season. And add standalone ecu+ turbo next year.
Hi, I have a doubt, the milltek sports cat, is a decat downpipe with a hiflow cat in midpipe or is a midpipe with a high flow cat instead the gpf and keeping the oem downpipe? Thanks
do you know what final drive is in the aristo? I have a 3.91 in my gs300 just looking how it deals with gearing.... Did this also have an aftermarket ECU or did you just use emulator to not have the dash light with warnings
What would be helpful for us in the USA is to list other 8hp transmissions that work. We dont have access to the diesel 8HP70 that you have in the UK. Will the 8hp50 work? Hold the power of a 2jz making 600rwhp?
I have a stock TT 1994 MK4 Auto in the US. Coincidentally, it was originally a UK car and has many of the interesting items that come with EU version of the Supra. Do you offer a preprogrammed TCU? Or would I have to take it to a local tuner?
5.7/6.4 hemi’s in the charger/challenger use 8hp70’s not sure if they’ll work with a bmw shifter. I’d reach out to your preferred tcu manufacture to see your options
Looking to get my gr Yaris exhaust and intake done but still looking to keep all warranty and insurance legal and in check. Is a gpf delete legal and ok to insure or just the gpf back?
Tbh, i dont buy that. Dont see the advantage unless, turbo has been replaced, reinforced pistons and rods, alongside injectors, downpipe , remap and enhanced cooling capacity. It has to go in a while package... by then clutch needing reinforcement, so does the rear lsd..., big investment.
Tbh I don't see the advantage of doing that either, might as well recast the block as a 6 cylinder and scale up all the manifolds and lines. Even then, maybe you just design your own V8 with forged aluminum, steel, or titanium internals and run race gas with two huge low front mount turbos. While we're at it maybe we redesign the car to be lower and wider, change the suspension geometry, why half-ass it right?
