Listening to Tasha, it took me a while to break the patterns. They are starting to break. What God keeps telling me is, “Mikey, you are not a hostage! Let go of people, forgive yourself, and move forward.”
I got a ton of inspiration from hearing her speak about writer's block and how she starts working on another project when she feels blocked by the current one. This is how her Lord John books and other storylines have gotten written.
That was a very interesting insight into what happens in your mind as you toy with words. A sip of whisky in a beautiful goblet doesn't hurt, I'm sure. **Cough**
Shawn Hannity, you, Laura Ingraham, Tucker and the rest, used your 1st amendment rights to convince your fellow Americans that what Donald trump and Steve Bannon was saying was true, even though you knew it wasn't true. Your egregious Rhetoric sowed doubt about our elected officials and institutions. Pitting friend against families, injecting constant fear confusing the markets, and plunging the recovering supply chains into the ground. while undermining Americas integrity to the world, you did this for Money. The damage to the United States Congress is unmeasurable, the republican party was "Obliterated" some republican members lost their freedom, and some forfeited their careers, crippling their families, while you got rich. Ashly Babbit was shot to death in front of the country, she died because, she was scared and uninformed from your lies, and she made an American stand, (so shameful} The doubt you have cast on the Supreme court will take "years" to heal. You helped pull off the biggest Heist in history. Imagine how helpful you could have been with that power to help America recover from the pandemic. ENJOY THE MONEY.........AMERICA WILL PAY IT BACK
I LOVE this Author. There aren't words to describe just how much I love her. Best I can say, is I played the Audiobooks for my daughters as they grew up. If that isn't the best compliment, I don't know what is. I wanted her Heroes to be my Daughter's guide to being themselves, especially Alahna as her name is strikingly similar to one of my girl's. Her taking a stand, and earning the life she wanted, is exactly the message, and lesson I wanted my children to learn, and that lesson stuck.
I'm enchanted by this content. I recently read a similar book, and I was truly enchanted. "Mindful Mastery: Living Intentionally in a Chaotic World" by Kyle Ash
The first 2 points, I wholeheartedly agree with. However the 3rd, is concerning. What not why…puts it into an either/or category and is limiting. Maybe the context/tone/approach of “why” needs to be addressed, however, “why” is still enormously helpful. Let’s ask why AND what. Ask the why under the why, under the why, all the way to exploring the deep subconscious programming and core wounds. If “why” is asked in a shaming, accusatory, way…of course that won’t help. If “why” is asked in a deeply curious, interested, open way, then it can often direct a more meaningful “what”. Having worked in medicine, with thousands of people, and now exploring pursing a neuroscience degree…the “why” should never be substituted. It should be included.
David Thomson saying nothing for 3 minutes. "Critiquing the films of Stanley Kubrick-" what a joke, he said nothing beyond "I don't like his films" and rambling arbitrarily about his move to England which has no relation to anything. He has no arguments, nothing to say worth considering for a moment, that counts for less than the "c" in "critique."
I found Tamora pierce independently as a child/young adult. I never got to discuss the books with anyone. They became this secret world for me. I still remember reading The circle of magic, laying under an oak tree in the summer, in a world of my own. I treasured that world and kept it quietly close in my heart. I didn’t know anything about the author, this is the first time I’ve seen or heard her. How lovely to see a heroine who I only knew through her writing. I’m grateful for that steady upbringing she secretly gave me.
This is denial. Interscope in that air shelved countless projects. Whether Rakim or hitman, to this dude. Lol they spent money so it must be a conspiracy. Dude sounds utterly clueless. Em brought a boon of wack white rappers who got opportunities trying to mimick his success. Not the opposite lol what a tool
I never would’ve thought aj was dealing with mental health problems but it makes me feel better about my own mental struggles and trauma I’m glad she is speaking up
I have never heard something truer. I am from Cape Town and headed to JHB, there were screens, and boards everywhere my brain was bombarded, and invaded with these narratives even if I didn't want them to be.Then we need to speak about noise pollution, the idea of people blasting what ever kind of music they want, some music not having the best messaging.
The story of Alanna did raise me and all of the others became a huge part of the reason and the way I write my own stories. The fact that TP has her heroines experience their period, and have multiple lovers, is amazing and rare in the genre. Fun fact: I was Alanna’s age when I started reading her story, and I got my first period on the same day I read about Alanna’s!
