Im replacing the same valves on 4runner v8 2005. But i also have codes p0420. Po430. Catalytic converters. I hopefully replacing those valves can clear the codes for cats. I took cats out thry look fine clean.
Yeah. There's a lot of room on this truck. I just tried replacing the same valves with the same engine on 05 4runner v8. And no way to get them out this way. Bit i can see on the tundra has way more room.
I just want to say I really enjoyed your video but then..... I gained a little bit more knowledge and realized just how much is missing in your video. I watched it 20 times and it was so convinced I had all the knowledge and skills to take care of this water pump and timing belt and then as I said started to understand the things that were not in your video like the pullies and the fact there is a special tool for that that I would need and let's see oh and that you don't show putting in the belts or on the belts
Awesome !! Thanks so much, I will try tomorrow, my Bank 2 throwing the code P1445, I will confirm correct vacuum supplied to valve as well as it's solenoid controlling vacuum valve is operating correctly. Then I will remove valve and clean with break clean, that should do it, I've already confirmed the Diaphragm to this valve is holding 20 inch of Mercury.
What did you do about the fuel injector ports? 🤔 My '87 YJ most likely needs an overhaul & I still have my '94 4.0 that I can steal the head from but since it's fuel injected, I would have to do something about the ports(it's probably something simple but I'm still curious either way).
I know this video is 2 years old,I have the same vehicle just a 07', 4.0 and I need the pulley changed in there, not the water pump, the kit I can afford comes with the belt and that pulley, and it's winter time at the moment,I dont have a garage,I work on my cars myself, but I cant do this job,so i have to get someone to help me,so for example what would you charge to put the belt on cuz why not,and that damn pulley thats making a racket??? The pulley thats connected to timing belt, water pump etc. What would you charge someone?? For those things? Ive gotten a few quotes but I know when I'm being overcharged,so what would your price be?? I mean less than 800-900$ right???? Cuz holy shit a shop said that price to me,another shop was chesper I'm just curious
This job calls for 5.3 hrs. Labor cost would be dictated by the shops hourly rate. For example, my shop rate is $80hr so labor would run $425. On the other hand, some shops don’t advertise their hourly rate. Instead, they’ll base what the job calls for then decide what to charge so it’s worthwhile to take it on. Hope that helps.
I said all you need is your pulley done I would strongly suggest you do it yoursel. You will need a special tool either a pulley puller or a three jaw puller and you can get them as loaner tools from the parts store
I fix it but not after replace the valve there's a company the sells a harness the connects to the map sensor and another wire connects in the fuse box that took care of it if u want the full details I find them and let u know
On my 05 Tundra I had a stuck bank 1 Sec air inj ck valve code P2440, but I ended up pulling the valve without removing the intake sys. Enough room exists in the back providing you lay a thick foam cushion across your engine and lay on the pad. Also, you'll need a 1/4" swivel head ratchet with tight gearing. I bought the Titan 90 tooth swivel head from O'rielly Auto Parts for $17. This is critical to get the two long 10mm bolts on the valve. You should disconnect the vacuum lines that run to the passenger side solenoids because it makes it easier to get the valve out before you disconnect the vacuum line on the removed valve. I ended up cleaning my valve with brake parts cleaner and removed two small pieces of plastic that prevented the check valve from closing. After testing the vacuum with my MityVac to make sure the valve holds vacuum I reinstalled it and the Shop-Vac sound went away, the engine light has stayed off and no fault codes show on my OBD. I ordered two Dorman check valves to replace at a later date, but its an easy job when you don't have to remove the intake assembly.
good job brother, a question that would give you more strength?, leave the "intake manifold" of 258, or place the "intake manifold" of 242 (with the holes sealed where the injectors go)
What type/make of air hammer did you use on the sway bar original pin removal? I need to do this job but beating with a big hammer looks like it would fail to move them
The first high-speed segment of this video is useless made me change the channel looking for something better who wants to watch some guy do something with his hands that you can't even see come on guys do better
do you have any tips? Maybe a video about did you used plastic lines or made some from straight brake lines, or buy premade lines??? Not being smarta$$. I'm using my granddad's youtube id. I'm 15 and trying to learn stuff. My granddad left me his 1994 yj with a 2.5 motor. My stepdad probably doesn't even know how to change the oil in his car. He is no help, whenever I would ask questions
