Bro, you didn't show the most important part! Do you connect the whole set positive on the first battery and in the opposite corner, third battery negative? Or you connect the first battery positive and negative? Which one is it? I have 2 24v batteries..
Why would you run your batteries through the engine? If I run a basic 50watt inverter through my lighter just to keep my phone, tablet, honey badger, and occasionally my dremel, drone, or Nikon mirrorless camera, after 6 months my battery fails, followed by my alternator. My past 3 cars, same show, currently running through a mercury grand marquis which in theory should be the best equipped but has failed the most sudden and dramatic whereas the other cars I had warning
5:26 perfect example of you get what you pay for. Instead of notching the verticals they just hammered the ends down to weld. I bet the rest of it is just as sh!tty craftsmanship/material.
Nice video guys, I got a 2000 Subaru Outback with the 2.5L H4. Was looking for a 3.0R butvthe 2.5LH4 is good enough for me right now. Im looking to do van life and do something different. Things are not getting any cheaper at all.
How is "stealth camping" any different from being just another variety of street bum clogging up the parking, parks and beauty of San Diego? You all look the same to me and I've been living in San Diego for over 50 years.
Thank you for the advice to yank on that lower part of the radio. I thought I was overlooking a screw this entire time. Gave it a REALLY hard tug and it came right out.
start in the center, and work out to the sides, with tongues facing out. Then , scribe the last, outer boards where they'll be hidden behind cabinets or trim.
this happened to me, and i was using the ciggartee lighter under the center console. I removed the plug and never had the problem again. So you can't use the 12volt charger under the center near the floor ever again.
It's important to note that actual conductors should really be in direct contact, i.e. without washers in between. If washers are to be used in between contacts for whatever purpose you should absolutely make sure they're copper washers, not steel. Steel washers are not great electrical conductors and will heat up due to high resistance. People using steel washers is one of the common causes of parts of their electrical systems melting under high loads.
Hi congrats on the land, home, and baby! From a building biology perspective, I just wanted to share a little knowledge about new homes, often times they are built with materials that have toxic off gassing periods that can be harmful to the body. You can research this and find info on specific materials, but I just wanted to share this with you and let you know it may be health-beneficial to maintain an airing out period where the windows are open and air purifiers are in function to promote a healthy off gassing while you guys are moving in. Air purifiers can be helpful for wildfire seasons, environmental allergens, building material toxins, and more so they are a great investment. Wishing you guys the best and I thought it could be good to share this. ❤
Thank you for this. I couldn’t agree more. We just got a few nice air purifiers and we can’t move in for a month or so. I go up almost everyday open up the windows, and air it out while I work. How long do you recommend the air out period is?
During a promo, I got an Anker F2600 (2500wh) for $1,350. It seems like a no-brainer to use this over building my own setup. You also need to factor in the cost of one-off tools for creating your own setup, too.
I just gut 5he pt35 waiting 24 hrs before cranking up, it was delivered on it side. My question is in the manual you can turn Dual Zone off,, does that mean it will cool both compartments the same or does it turn one side off. I know, stupid question but just wondering if you ever turned Dual off thanks
Great review. I do have a question about 3000 watt inverters run from a 24 volt system. Am I right in thinking smaller gauge wire is permissible? In other words, if that had been a 24 volt inverter, would those 4awg cables be fine??
Still happy with it? How did you secure the sink to the countertop since it does not have clips to secure it? Also, the hose female connectors for the hot and cold water are non standard and I can't find any adapter. Do you have a link for the part that you buy that has a valve and the double connector? thank you!
I’m usually drilling new holes into the van with self tapping screws. Placing the furring strips on top of the reflectix and then fastening them to the vans rubs. Some people use riv nuts and install them before the reflectix.
What happens if you wire a fan with 18awg ? I don’t have a “maxx” fan, and I couldn’t find any info about wire size in manual, but someone in the reviews said it’s 18awg so I connected it to 18awg extension..
Depends on how much amperage your fan puts out. There are wiring size charts online. Also we go over this a good deal in both the van conversion masterclass and the 12 volt DIY masterclass on www.vankookz.com
I wish it came in Powder coated black. Can I use flat black spray paint or do you think the stainless chrome is too smooth to stick paint to? Do you recommend a light steel wool to lightly scratch chrome surface before paining black?
