We might make a review of the BT blind and include various ways to grass it. But if you're looking for something in the meantime we folded the blind grass in half around a grass loop and added a zip tie at the base. Then we added another zip tie on some of that chunk of blind grass on a grass loop above. This kept it held upward but allowed some of it to flop outward. For the overhead we basically copied Phil Kahnke's design on his latest 16' build.
@@HumansOTOutdoors No. It still folds up like this but we can no longer use the travel cover with all the grass on it. So we just use a few ratchet straps to keep it strapped down.
I used PL Marine. Loctite's version of 5200 which would work also. One guy has a KUIU Gale Force jacket I believe is the model. I use a XXL Outdoor Ventures windbreaker jacket for an outer layer and many times use my rogers fowl weather jacket underneath. He seems to like his KUIU Jacket. I didn't really think it made enough of a difference from my system to justify the cost.
Stainless bolts, washers, and lock nuts. Not sure what length of bolt but around 3". I have the bolt head on the bottom side of the blind to eliminate interference with the folding of the legs. I used hex head bolts, but round head or pan head bolts may provide more clearance.
@@crexhuntclub thanks, I have an English cocker, he’s so small I’m worried he will get drowned out by vegetation. I like the idea of getting him higher up And the option of the Dakota of keeping him locked in
I have just trained with it in the field. It really isn't much different than the Momarsh from that standpoint. It tips a little bit favoring one side. If you propped up the opposite side with the skinny side of a 2x4 or something similar it would probably eliminate the tipping.
One thing to note I didn't address in my initial message. It is fairly easy to separate the two products and use them by themselves. In this case, the dakota blind would work as designed for a field blind.
@@lastminuteprepping143 Ha! Is it expensive? That makes it even gayer. Spend a bunch of money to shoot a bird. Ducks not great to eat. They eat a lot of trash. Peking is good, but they don’t fly.
I saw this video and immediately wanted to get it. I've been in the market for a new dog blind for a while now, but I can't seem to find it in stock anywhere. any thoughts on where it might be available or somewhere I could get it ordered through?
Everyone thinking that people hunt only if something is nuisance or just to kill something smh. Wtf is wrong with people. Common sense is gone. I guess the only natural place to get food is the grocery store
Great idea combining the two pieces. You should consider running the bolts with the heads inside the blind to avoid the possibility of your dog getting snagged on the threaded end.
I had to put them the other way to avoid interference with the legs when folding the blind. I could put rubber end caps on the bolts to cover the threaded end.
If effectiveness and structure of the pellets in the shells are always in question and performance that even after numerous videos no conclusion is ever reached. Why in the heck are they so much in cost ?
I did this exact same thing this morning idk how they don't die sometimes. Especially when I bust em on the water in the decoys smh sometimes I watch em dive the shot and then pop back up and fly away
I hunted these things last year and im pretty sure it ruined alot of our hunts after giving it some thought. I noticed when we would have birds working they would get close then flair off. I realized when I'd pull the rig towards me then give it some slack to go back it would flair birds. I think the decoys coming forward then turning back and going the other way sent a signal out like they seen danger or something causing birds to flair.
