Is the MOTION DUCKS DECOY SPREADER ACTUALLY WORTH It?? 

I ran into this issue with normal jerk rig. What I did was I took a made a weight with concrete and put eyebolt in it, then clipped carabiner to eye bolt. Then after I put out main weight at far end, decoys then ran string back to blind/boat. While in blind or boat I would clip on the weight I made and drop it in. That held the jerk rig cord at bottom so it wouldn’t get tripped on or float on top bringing attention to where I was at.

Your asking to move decoys with no string??? It’s literally no different than having a normal jerk rig with having to avoid the string.

I honestly have not noticed the difference between this rig and a homemade jerk rig (one using paracord and half hitches with gill snaps. It is not bad to carry and folds up alright, but if it is less than 18 inches of water, a traditional rig works better, those tent poles get hung up on flooded debris which doesnt make them move as well

I’m glad someone made this video before I made it lol. The string sucks it’s too thin and frail, I had to replace it with a better quality cord. The pieces do not want to come apart for disassemble especially when it’s below freezing or cold temperatures in general. I had to use a heavy 5lb + anchor bc the ducks would just drag to me and end up on shore. The sand/rock pouch did not do it for me. It doesn’t make the ripples on the water I wanted vs the Kirk McCullough jerk rig I bought. Lol...you guys are funny. This rig is easy to set up and use. Takes seconds to set up.. I apologize if you both are physically or intellectually incapable of operating it. And by the way, the dog has never gotten tangled.

I mean is their any jerk system that you don’t have to worry about he line? I do like the idea of using the weights to weigh down the line!

You guy are funny. Easiest setup ever. Hell i have set it up from the boat and my feet never hit the water. And my dog never got tangled. I sometime throw a decoy bag on the line or under a log

Are you guys even duck hunters? You literally just deployed half a dozen decoys in the same time it would take you to put out 6 individual decoys. Everything at 4-5am in the dark with a headlamp sucks. 🤣

It is a jerk rig. The drawbacks are the same as any jerk rig.

I trip on my jerk rig and I don't have one of these I think that's just a issue with using a jerk rig not necessarily just that set up

I hunted these things last year and im pretty sure it ruined alot of our hunts after giving it some thought. I noticed when we would have birds working they would get close then flair off. I realized when I'd pull the rig towards me then give it some slack to go back it would flair birds. I think the decoys coming forward then turning back and going the other way sent a signal out like they seen danger or something causing birds to flair.
