We do not expect to be the largest bow manufacturer but we do expect to be the best by offering the highest quality bows on the market with the shortest delivery
Do I see some wear on my cables from tons of shots the ATR? Yes. Do I see it from any other cable system as well? Yes. Unfortunately strings and cables don't last forever people.
They are a fairly big aerospace company, they recycle it all I'm sure. That's what you get sometimes with billet vs forged/cast. Regardless of how you cut it, its still material removed and probably recycled anyways.
i used a portable bow press and under pressure the L-bracket slid right out of the rubber protector on the end during a string change. my bow was turned way down and the cables were on but the string wasn't and when the L-bracket slid off the end of the limb it hit the side of my hand and my bow blew, meaning the cables jumped the cams. i bent my L-bracket into the S-style bracket and have not had any more problems but if you use a press with the L-brackets make sure the rubber protectors can't just slide off the ends. if your looking to get a portable press get the one with the ratchet strap.
I live in Italy, and I have just purchased my new Xpedition Mako X, and the only word i can say is WOW!!! Fast shooting, very smooth draw cycle, and incredibile quiet noise..Wow wow wow!!!! I have changed my Hoyt Helix Ultra for this (Great Bow), but the Mako X leave me without word! I'm verry happy to have make the change!!! Great bow!!! Great work guy!!! You have a new fan :-)
OMG do you guys need a few basic lessons on how to shoot an instructional video. No closeups of the cam, screws, how to adjust to make the draw a bit shorter or longer, precautions if any.......come on guys....get serious.
I have 20 years of shooting bows and Xpedition is by far the best bow I have ever shot. I hope they keep the standards at such a high level. My xcursion 6 is a beast. Keep up the great work. ~Rick Lindblade
I’m sure not a fan of these new highly preloaded lamb’s.I have a old Z7 magnum so easy to work on and eight years ago had a IBO of 340, very little gain for such a big preload on limbs.
The ATR is my only major concern. I have read on a lot of forums service related issues are hit or miss if they are solved or not. Also, if the ATR is as good as claimed why the switch on the one 19 bow that came out and presumably future bows?
New Company...they are no longer owned by the Aerospace Engineering company. I have thousands of shots through my ATR with no problems. I purchased my Xcentric 7 in may of 2015 and am just now needing new strings.
I live in Canada, and I am seriously considering the xpedition xcursion7 for my next bow. I own 5 different brands, I may only buy one more bow so I may give xpedition a try.
Sorry, but my xcursion 6 bow strings/cables are by far the worst manufacturer strings I have had (4th brand new bow from reputable make...Mathews, PSE, Hoyt ). Over 3000 shots through my bow and still have to adjust peep every time I shoot. It took around 900 shots to start getting consistency out of it. Next set of string will not be lightning.
We are sorry about your experience. We would suggest calling Mike at Lightning Archery, he is very focused on making sure his clients are satisfied. As pointed out in the video, inconsistencies can happen with production strings and cables. We apologize for the inconvenience.
I am carlos I really liked the bow composed of you, I live in Brsil I am passionate about bow, I wanted to buy an arch of you, like I do for the purchase, because here in Brazil you have this material, I wanted a help from you, I wanted to be a clan of you
That is a Limb Driver Pro V by Vapor trail. It is a drop away rest so what you are not seeing is the arm that lifts the arrow as you draw. It is there.....you just can't see it at rest.
Impressive no doubt, I just bought my 15yr old daughter a Excursion 6 with 40# limbs. This thing is a barn burner and it is shootable, tunes like a dream with a great valley and backwall. 42# with a 308gr arrow she is hitting 280fps with a 25.75" the drawlength.
Well... I have money for so called flagships, I shoot 70-80 lbs Hoyt Defiant, which is with 25 draw (0,5 inch too much for me).. Luckily other companies provide flagships with short enough draw if customer wants.
We offer the new Xplorer SS & the Xcursion 6 in 25" DL and typically our bows will shoot with a half inch longer setting (so essentially a 24.5" DL). Give our bows a shot, we guarantee you won't be disappointed.
This was an professional answer unlike earlier smart ass. Thank you. That 24,5 inch sounds very promising due these models are very Interesting in my point of view. I think I'll give a try.
348FPS with 7" brace height is pretty damn impressive. If I was looking into a new bow, I'd be going with the 7. I think 350IBO is kind of a sweet spot, and to get near that with a more forgiving brace height is what would sell me on it. With a 29" draw length @ 70 pounds, that'd put you right around 300-305fps shooting a 450GR heavy hunting arrow. Again, impressive.
