My factory gm trays have been good for 100s of passes at 7200. My cam is 235/239 0.628/0.632. I did have issues due to valve float at 8500 on a mechanical over Rev. Beat up the rollers and lobes. Trays are solid still but I'm replacing.
Fantastic little video. Looking at a similar solution for my BMW m3 e36. Kit prices are insane for what is a bit of fabrication and welding and parts from the wreckers.
I had to change the cam in mind I just loosen the oil pump up a little bit to make sure I put it on the time in mark I like the video and where did you purchase those sticks from or did you have them made
I absolutely LOVE the swap. The biggest difference i have noticed is the ride quality cruising is much better, the car is much more planted hitting bumps in the road, The suspension is also much more tunable, although i'm not really making continuous adjustments. I do frequently see people asking if IRS will make their car "better", but in my opinion it's really a matter of personal prefrence. Cobra IRS parts have become very expensive now, and there are a lot of solid axle upgrades out there that can make your car "better" as well, but for me, it's the IRS.
Hey, how did your catch can set up work, have you made any changes to it? I have set some up on my X5m S63 but put the connecting hoses where the grated plastic hose is / was, and left the check valves exactly where they were set up by the factory.
@@Sgt.Slides if I would have seen this a year ago I could have sent you a rocker arm if you needed it, I had the same ones and ended up replacing all 16
@@tufgriz8917 oh, yeah, well 2 step is hard on the top end, not sure exactly why, but if you smashed a push rod 2 stepping, im not really surprised. OHC moters will snap rocker arms on 2 step.
you can't really set fire to the outside of a gas tank, why does everyone think im telling people to cut the tank open? That would cause a massive explosion.
Remember back when I built my double line set up about 20 years ago on my 670 street avenger. Those inferior hoses almost burnt down my ride and spilled all over my intake manifold. Actually here cause someone put a soft line from the tank to the pump on my old school which choked or vapor locked and wanted to see if anyone else had similar issues.
I used a rubber "Fuel line" inside my tank as a quick repair, and never went back to fix it. It burst after about a year, luckily there's no major safety issues with the in tank line breaking.

OEM fuel lines aren't always an option when you're swapping an engine, and even if you get the correct adapters to connect to the OEM fuel line, you're still going to have to make a section to go to your new fuel rail. There's a correct way to do things.
Finally fixed my new-to-me 2019 F06 front passenger door today and this video was, by far, the best guidance I had to get it apart and back together again. Thank you Sir.

I Ran the legends car in the 1990s for 10 yrs as a senior, not much has changed from the look of it. I Was running 1/4 mile aspalt tracks in Central Calif. with 3:30 gears and 2:50s in Sonoma raceway road coarse. With 2:50 gear you will get well over 125mph. With enough seat time it will become routine. One of my best memories is my time in that racecar. OldGuy.
Good chance my car is from the 90's, but no, not really much has changed. they are on their 2nd generation of fuel injected motors now which is pretty cool, and they just released 4 wheel disc brakes this current season. besides that, yeah, same old cars.

I look for new ideas and why I shouldn't bother to do something or just do it a different way. I'm keeping the factory K member and using tubular control arms with lowering springs, as yes it weighs a touch more, but I'm not drag racing. The weight is in the front, but it is down low and weight up high is what I prioritize as needing attention in weight reduction. A set of aluminum heads or moving the battery to the back of the car does more, but this is my way of thinking. Keep up on doing the things you want to do and the way you want to go about it 👍.
absolutely, there has to be a method to the madness, WHERE the weight is matters as much as what's causing the weight, and managing your center of gravity will do more for you than just lightning random pieces.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. It's not good, I'm not going to write a long review, but there's nothing good about it. It has been some years since I have made this video and there are newer better products now, I have not used them but i know they are much better. Do not buy the unit you see in this vid.
