it all depends on the rules of the competition. This car was set up to run un modified, but the day before race day, i found out it was a modified track day.
@@mc67bolts54 i had this car for an entire year longer than i wanted to, and this was the last derby of the year. I was a bit frustrated, but we did have a fair shot and a great driver. He disabled about 3 other cars as it was. The strongest bumper in the world wouldn't have protected us from that double hit we took.
Don't you guys still wish you could run old stuff from the 60s and 70s? I would think that even those full sedans, like your Crown Vic/Marquis from even that era - are getting harder to find, whole at least! Some taxi and car transport liveries are holding on to those old 90s full sedans by stripping the ones in the junkyards clean of parts and body panels!
You can run old 70's cars, there were 3 of them in that heat, The Crown Vic is great because it's built just like the old cars but it's newer. Stay tuned, We may have an old Impala for the next one. Fingers crossed.
also, they aren't so hard to find either, it's just greedy owners want too much money for them. This Gran Marq was already wrecked in a T bone accident, had no title, was filthy and had mis matched rims all around and the owner tried to ask almost $2000 for it. Eventually he came back to us for $500 which was still more than the car was worth.
