I live in same area in Virginia. He was hanging around that 7-Eleven asking for 2 dollars or across on road with cardboard sign. His baby Mama lives in Virginia that's why he came over from DC and Maryland area. The money is gone. I heard his family and girls finessed it out of him. Last i heard he was arrested last summer sleeping in an old car passed out intoxicated. I thought he got a pension i don't understand what he doing ?

He made 16 or 17 MILLION dollars throughout his NBA career. Most of us will never see that much money. I know he's in a terrible place but it's hard to feel too sorry for someone who squandered that much money.
If there is mental health problems i dont care if squanders 16 to 17 billion the brother aint right and needs help nothing to do with if he deserves a sorry. He deserves someone looking out for his situation wirh a brain that can see exactly past what you said. Unless your a young dude then u just have some maturing to do and that will come with age, some have it at your age some take time, some it dont matter how much time but you have to ask whats the differnce between you and him if thats the case, Both in my opinion would be considered mentally troubled. Even if he was willing to work for a lot less than that and just help under privileged people he could really find a way back to redemption and more people would feel good about helping him get back on his feet financially
