Enjoyed your review of the 23 300xc. So you know single track… so what’s your opinion of this bike on gnarly stuff? I know it’s not a 300 but is a place to start? I’ve spent a lot of time on a 21 450xcf on mountain single track. This bike looks like a good starting point.
The 450 xcf-w is by far my favorite machine for hard enduro and if I race enduro in USA or Chinada again ill race it on the 450. Its virtually the same weight of a 300 and super smooth
@@ReeceTasker I’ve always been a big bore guy, probably because that’s all we had back when I was younger. I’ve had xcf Ktms but this bike seems to check all the boxes or very close stock. I appreciate your feedback!
I picked up a 2024 300xc a few weeks ago and i agree on the front end weight. I think the best settings are 5mm fork height, Comfort settings with +2 on compression and 107mm sag. I found the extra sag takes the weight off the front. I'm 185lbs without gear. I tried the mid west lever and took it off as i don't like the engagement feeling.
Have you ever heard of 16 inch supermoto rims and tires setup I see on some sites this comes with 17 inch supermoto setup should I just go with the stock supermoto setup or just setup my own this bike will only be for the road
@@ReeceTaskerYou can add the map switch to the 24 and program the quickshifter per the manual 12.43. I added the map switch to mine and got the quickshifter working by calibrating it. Super easy. What is the clutch master setup you have there?
Hi there.. you said you’d change from 9mm to 10mm on the brakes but you mentioned what I’d imaging to be clutch pull in the same sentence.. Can you explain please if you taking about brakes or clutch If I want to make the clutch pull lighter.. what do you recommend? Thanks !!
The bike comes with a 10mm master cylinder for the clutch, changing to a 9mm reduces the clutch effort a lot and gives you a more progressive clutch. All the pro racers I know use 9mm clutch masters
@@ReeceTasker that’s so good to know! Because I find it too heavy to pull in as well So that means I have to change the entire master cylinder or something minor?
It’s a nice admit jet. For sure the one I have 25200 74V . The bike is nice though . Nice tires but heavy real suspension is good and rear . The rear brake lever super cheap but can change that. You mention the k a few time these are made in china just like the Surrons which I think are very good bikes, especially the ultra bee life is more like a grave bike for ripping around local woods streets whatever.
Great comparison between the bikes! Lots of chatter about the new chassis being much stiffer - did you notice any big difference? Open cartridge XPLOR forks on the 23 vs the all new close cartridge XACT forks on the 24...any more insights into the different characteristics of the new forks?
With the new 24 forks adjusted up they feel pretty much the same as the 23. The forks "walk" just as much as the 23 model so I didnt notice any difference with the frame being stiffer. About the only attribute of the 24 over the 23 is the way it turns in the tight stuff, just a bit more nimble
Im getting the 2023 ktm250xc this saturday! Im really hyped because itll be my first big bore 2 stroke, im coming off of a 2022 ktm125sx! I am so excited to try it out but also a tiny bit concerned i should have gotten the 300!
@ReeceTasker I'm definitely gonna be stoked with it! I'm planning to do the exact same loops I did with the 125sx so I'll have a good idea how much Harder I was working with the 125 compared to the 250
Hello friend I congratulate you for the great video, I want to ask you, this model no longer brings the oil pump, in what percentage are you using the fuel and with what oil you do it. Greetings, best regards
was looking at a 450 xcf, just heard so many complaints on flameout, also not the best for tight trails. so I started looking at this Bike, might be grabbing one very soon.
@@ReeceTasker I found out. this button allows you to get more power if you are driving in low power mode. I don't know what that means, but it's true. when the button is pressed, the power limit is removed
@@ReeceTasker do you know any forum where this bike is discussed? I want to set up the controller, enable regenerative braking, but there is very small information
Thanks for the great review, now you have had a bit more time on the bike would you recommend changing the Shock spring if your in the 215 lb range or run the stock spring as I hear the rear end is a touch stiffer? Cheers.
Dealer just uncrated the '23 I bought and with the savings I ordered a set of 6500 inserts which puts me at the same price as a '24 with a much better fork.
My rear tire's bead isn't seated all the way. When i try to use air to get it to seat, then the air just keeps coming out of the part where tire bead is not fully seated. So what should I do?
