As far as I understand Dove does identify as a woman but she is taking advantage of sneaking into the male world as she can with her looks and it gives her advantages.
Maybe it didn't rly vacuum the inside. Unless you felt the suction then you know it's good but if not then you still have to twist it. Plus, menstruation cups are good up to 12hrs only or depend on how strong your menstruation
Nobody has commented on this yet? This thing is an absolute GAME CHANGER! Before I got this disc, I had tried several other brands’ discs. I had to remove and dump my other ones in the shower ONLY. Otherwise my toilet looked like a crime scene, as well as my hands. Now with Hello disc (deep cleansing sigh) I can very easily and cleanly remove and dump it while sitting on the toilet. I’m completely in LOVE with this little guy! Thank you SO MUCH for this design! ❤🎉
I think some people are worried because the diameter of the menstrual cup does appear to be large from certain angles. But the measurement is just slightly larger than the head of a fully erect penis. Just like when inserting a penis, the cup will stretch open your vagina, but not where it's uncomfortable, painful or it will not go back to it's tighter size when you pull it back out.
Using it all day today for the first time and just can’t get it to work. I’m 45, never pregnant, and is it just me or this thing is huge? It won’t open or go as high as i thought. Really hard to grab the tab. My cervix is low and I’m still just struggling. Also, extremely messy. Not giving up yet but def not easy for first time users.
6 month update; still have it and love it. its great even for the days when i'm just spotting. one less thing i have to worry about, plus my partner and i can go to town even on my period now hehe
@@cherrybombb2306 hey I inserted the cup but the stick comes out i walked around it cause slight discomfort i took it out again can recommend tips to insert it properly
“Tending to your period” is a great way of phrasing it because saying like “I’ve gotta change my pad/tampon/cup or whatever is kind of TMI because I’m not trying to share my method of blood capture with people besides my partner and best friends.
Just ordered this. Can't wait to try this out. Feels like it would be easier than cup since I don't have to fold it into many different shapes which makes it hard for me to grip
About to finish my first cycle using mine, it’s a game changer. Takes a little time to get used to inserting it and feeling it in your body. But I have a pretty active job and in 12 hours wearing it did not leak. I was amazed yesterday at how much blood it held back!
So far I love mine!! The dropped tab is a lifesaver for very high, like can’t-even-reach-it cervix. Second day in but so far it’s perfect. One question, will treating stains with peroxide also bleach the color of the disc?
two questions 1. how do you know if it’s behind the cervix 2. if you take it out after 12 hours and clean it, can you safely put it back in for another 12 hours?
Women exist but not everyone who has a period identifies as a woman. It's not like you have to have a period to be a woman anyway. It's just a more specific more accurate term in this context.
@@justanotherweirdo11 people can identify as anything they want in my book but the only people who *can* have periods are biological females. So you could say women and/or biological females, but eliminating the word women from the equation is completely diminishing and a selfish act on the small minority of people who get their periods who don’t identify as women. It’s simply absurd
@@grilledsleaze I disagree. The term "woman" isn't as specific as "people who menstrate". In this context using woman makes less sense than the later. Menopausal women are an example women who are not relevant to the topic of menstruating. It also acknowledges intersex people and AFAB trans people also get periods. Getting triggered when people say "people with periods" or "people who menstrate" is stupid imo. Menstruating is not what defines womanhood. And do you truly think it's offensive to refer to women as people?
@@justanotherweirdo11 hmm so what I’m hearing is I’m being unreasonable about not wanting the word “women” to disappear as it has been doing as of late but “people who menstruate” are right in wanting their identity to be included. Weird take. You also keep dodging my actual points with straw-man responses so I can see nothing productive will come out of this discussion so I’ll be on my way 💅
@@grilledsleaze Yes I think you are being unreasonable, feel free to disagree. The word woman isn't disappearing. If you are talking about biological functions, like menstruation, the "woman" and other gendered terms are less likely to be used. Similar to how the word "female" is less likely to be used in social context where the term "woman" is more common. I disagree that the phrase "people who menstrate" is harmful. I do agree that this conversation is going nowhere though. You haven't addressed my points either. Farewell. 👋 Have a nice day.
I've got an extra high cervix and was struggling to find a menstrual cup that worked for me. Then I tried this product and I will never look back. I have a job that makes periods very difficult to manage and now it's not a problem anymore. 👌
I love the design of this disc so much, the removal process is incredibly easy, but I wish it came in a smaller size as well for those of us who are more petite!
You absolutely can .. I tried several cups and discs before my cycle to see what was best And please use a water based lube for easy insertion... your vagina will thank you
I know this is old, but I wanted to answer incase someone else with the same question comes across this comment since it looks like the replies were deleted. Yes, you can practice with discs (and cups) before your period. I would suggest using a water based lube to help with insertion. Just make sure you don't leave it in for longer than 12 hours without taking it out and cleaning it.
If u search Period Nirvana Hello disc she goes thru the examples. She also goes thru how to insert, different ways of inserting disc using a sample that she had made. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dZnBaYAqOqo.html
Due to the two pop up links added overtop of the video you cant see what the last example is, this makes it hard to fully understand. Maybe wait a little and add a little bit at the end for them so information isn't being covered
Don’t insert upwards like tampons. Insert downwards towards the your tailbone. Also experiment by rotating and relax. Try to do it standing on top of toilet. These tips were a game changer for me. Than once is past pelvic bone just tuck in upwards. :)
It doesn’t because discs are considered a “medical device” and this would need a certification from Health Canada. Apparently it is an expensive and lengthy process. hello hasn’t gone through it so it doesn’t ship here. There is also the risk that the package gets seized at the border if you send it to an american friend and have them send it to you. If you’re lucky, the best is to have someone drive it across the border…!
