1:36 That seal that has to be destroyed in order to take the transmission apart is almost impossible to find now, as well as the plastic oil guide and bearing behind it. Bremerton Transmissions at 3737 Arsenal Way in Bremerton, WA, destroyed all three of those parts taking that seal out, didn't say anything about it, tried to say the broken plastic oil guide was the cause of my problem (it wasn't, it was the shift cable, not anything inside my transmission), and tried to charge me $7500 for a new transmission in my $3000 car. It took them two months and cost me $1000 to have them disable my otherwise drivable car, and it took me another $1k and a weekend to put a wrecking yard transmission and new clutch in myself. TLDR Don't trust anyone to work on your vehicle, especially not shops. They are businesses, and their business is making money, not fixing cars.
Hey Its all good Stevoo, It will suck to see it parted out. I'm happy to hear your keeping the chassis though, the car will live on, just in another form. You have saved this car multiple times and its nice to hear you won't sending it to the scrapper. I'll have to stop out there sometime so I can check out the S13 since I last saw you (its Morgan by the way haha)
Oooh movie mode :D. I'm glad you're doing what makes you happy. Drifting seems more your style honestly (and I don't blame ya, it's even a blast in the sim!). I'm glad you're keeping the Fiero chassis around for the future project, since you have all that history with it! Loving the S13 build so far! I'll come watch ya drift sometime.
Just a fyi, that isn’t for clamping pipe, it’s for cutting box section with a corner pointing up. It makes the cut quicker and the blade last longer 👍🏻 just use the flat faces for pipe.
Couple of questions: What booster/master cylinder did you use? Where did the caliper brackets come from? Dammit, i posted this comment before reading the others'..... A FRIGGING BLUEPRINT WOULD BE NICE!!! SOMEONE NEEDS TO REVERSE ENGINEER THOSE DAMNED BRACKETS!!! I can have them made with a 3-D scan or actual measurements on a simple CAD plasma table. Spacers can be done with solid metal, so they don't look sketchy as long as the dimensions are good. Gotta have those nuance details to make it right! Need the homie hook-up for my 86 supercharged Fiero GT...
