Hello - My name is Lee Peedin (PragmaticLee) and I'm from eastern NC, USA. I became interested in machining in 2014 and started with a Harbor Freight mini-lathe. I later added a Little Machine shop X2 mini-mill. In early 2016 I purchased and began using a Precision Matthews PM-1127-VF-LB lathe and a Precision Matthews PM-727M milling machine. Watch as I learn to use this equipment on little projects during my Tin Barn Time. Comments, subscriptions, and "thumbs-up" are always welcomed.
Hi Lee Being new to machining and engineering, I just wanted to reach out and thank you for inspiring me and thousands of others. My thoughts are with you and the family and hopefully an effective treatment program. Take care of yourself- best wishes Paul from the UK
I've enjoyed several of your videos and I'll be praying for your recovery. I'm about to turn 80 and I appreciate your recommendation to make regular M.D. check ups. Hopefully we can both get back in our shops soon.
Hope you get your health issues sorted soon Lee. I look forward to your videos continuing before too long. Take care of yourself, best wishes to you and your family, from Australia. Ken
God bless you Mr Lee. As a 69 yol I understand where you're at. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with all of us out here in YT land. I hope your issues are something that can be dealt with and you have many years to enjoy family and life. 😊
Lee, I am sorry to hear about your health issues. I enjoy your videos, and the practical way you present things. Your channel name is definitely appropriate. I was just diagnosed with thyroid cancer this last week, and will have to have my thyroid removed, and take replacement medication. Everything I've read and heard, is that it's a pretty common procedure. It just puts a person's mortality into perspective. My prayers are with you and your family.
We're pretty close to the same age, near as I can tell I am about six months older than you are. I have had some issues to deal with as well. I had to go through a few doctors until I found a good one, and I plan to keep her. I'm lucky enough to be situated with somebody who is real good at taking care of me, feeding me the right things, and otherwise being very supportive. You'll do what you gotta do to get past this stuff, and move forward from there, because that's the kind of guy you are, as far as I can see. Later...
G'day Lee. I have watched your channel for quite a few years, & have found very Interesting content etc. I hope You get your Health Issues sorted out pretty quick. Just know that lots of people around the World are with you in Spirit. We will say a few prayers 🙏 for your speedy health recovery. Ted from Perth. Australia. ❤
i wish you only the best, and if you feel up to it, post a video updating us on how you feel...if you dont, that's completely understandable...thanks for sharing
Thanks for taking the time to invite us into your shop and make videos. As a creator I know the time and commitment it takes to produce videos on a regular basis.
Thanks for the great videos, Lee. Your “pragmatic” approach to your projects is informative and inspiring. All of your viewers and I hope to see you again soon.
Wishing you all the best on the health front. Please don’t become a stranger. An occasional update chat from your armchair would be great. No machining required. Thanks for all the videos you have posted and which have enriched my life. Take care Lee.
Thank you for everything that you do. Take care of yourself and I hope everything goes well. Having 20,000 sub's means you have about 15,000 prayer warriors. May God bless you.
I'm very sorry to hear your news Lee. I've watched your channel for years now, and learnt I lot from you. Take your time to recover your health. It doesn't matter how long it takes, we are here awaiting your return. Keep positive, happy and strong. All my best wishes to you and your precious family. Cheers Nobby of nobbysworkshop in England
You truly are a treasure Lee and I have always looked forward to your videos. Thank you immensely for the time you took out of your life over the years to guide many of us in the metal hobby, computer lingo, shop math and general repairs/upgrades. You may not consider yourself a teacher, but you are a very good one and its been a privilege to watch all of your content. Fight the good fight Lee and we will be praying for you.
Lee take care of your self and hope you get to feeling better soon. Getting older is not as much fun as we all had hope. Thanks for all the great videos to date.

Thank you sir for passing a portion of your knowledge on to us. Your knowledge is so valuable, and it's hard to find and learn good machining techniques. I've learned so much from you!! I'll pray for you.
Hi Lee. Take care of your health first and foremost. I enjoy your videos and think you always do a good job of explaining what is going on in them. I'm sure, if it is to be, you'll be back. Maybe a family member can help if you get close to where you feel well enough to start filming again. I wish you the best of luck and a speedy recovery. -mike
I’ve learned a lot from your videos and I appreciate the time and effort you put into them. I pray that God will bless you and give you healing. Thank you so much.
Thank you for all of the videos and things you have shared with us over the years, Mr. Peedin. There are many of you on youtube that I had no idea had a channel until I started just friending people on facebook. I bet I can see a few of them in the comments if I can manage to read them. Just genuine good people in this world who wished to share things with others. I thank you for that and have been honored to watch and share a part of life with you. I may never know most of you in person but I am grateful for what you share with everyone and the things you have taught me through the years. I hope you can get everything straight and are feeling well soon. If you feel like it, we will still be here.
Follow your doctor's advice. We need you around. I enjoy your tutorials, always down to earth and easy to understand. I know full well what you're up against. At 80 I'm suffering from health issues myself that inhibit my time in the shop. We'll be praying for you.
we all hope you get well. but tbh, i really dont blame anyone who for being done youtube. im somewhat in the same boat. you and i have been on youtube close to the same lenth of time. and youtube has become all about politics. people these days only want to see videos that are dangerous or meaningless. no one want to know how to fix anything because now when it gos bad throw it away and buy a new one every other month and in some cases every month. my channel has me feeling like i am the scum of the earth and worthless to the world. so im just about done with youtube myself. the only diff. between you and i is people will miss you. they will throw parties all over the world that im finally gone.
