I've found the hapes to be a strange yet interesting faction, i know they added the battle dragon so hopefully it also gets the royal battle dragons for that real fleet lead
@@captgumption i run a mc40a with 4 crusaders and 4 lancers. Then filled up with arc 130s. The turret squad. Use them as an anti fighter screen squad or just to harass small fleets. I call the mc40a the Righteous Indignation. Noc Fisto Nautolan cpt at your service
Hi, my take on the new series on the new SWI version would be Hapes and Ascendancy. Because Hapes is new faction and ASC got I think the most new ships (from the preview Vigil, Velox and Fulgor all goes to the ASC).
I would like to see a mandalorian playthrough when the new update hits. They also seem to get a new ship, so a perfect opportunity to show what that is capable off. Also the idea you had with comparing different ships with eachother and see what they are capable off would be nice to see. As for this playthrough the most interesting thing for me personally is to see the cool star wars ships gunning it out so clearing everything with a giant fleet would be interesting :D
I do love the Mandalorian ships. They have some really heavy hitting ships too. Hapes is a definite as they are a brand new faction. I sure we can find a way to get some mando ships in somewhere, I usually do XD. I going to do a ship comparison series too, going to be technically difficult to set up I think but we will find a way.

@locutusvonborg2k3 I do say erm a lot. I am aware of this. It's an unfortunate side effect of having a brain bleed so not much I can really do about it. Should of heard me when it first happened haha. Besides, I don't see why its a prerequisite to be able to speak in a perfect, unbroken manner in order to make such video series on RU-vid. I dont claim to be a professional nor do I make any sort of money from these videos. It's a hobby that I choose to share with others, to like or to loathe is the viewers choice.
Actually I did not notice till I read this comment :). To me it makes more like a playthrough and a play along, instead of a scripted video (to me it just sounds like real time thinking :D)
Hi, where was the Secutor teased? What I think was teased are the Executor, Preator and Bellator. I could be wrong, not expert on the subject. Although the Secutor is in the DABC submod.
Yeah you are right. I checked again and its because the text underneath was Secutor. It's going to be interesting to see what gets put in in the new update and how it's going to effect the balance. I'm loving the game and the mod, but at the moment I am feeling like at times I'm being forced in certain directions. I don't think it would be very viable to play as a neutral party (game has got scope to be a good space trader) and wish it was possible to be a member of a faction rather than just an ally.
@@captgumption For you to be able to be a member of a faction the War Pact mod is needed. Basically it synchronises you with the faction relations. Did not test it fully but your actions should affect the faction too. It might have some bug with SWI.

I am used to get associated with Stargate and as that is quite a good show, I don't mind ^^ Also it would be interesting to see ship comparisons/tests when the new update is out. Hello there, I am quite new to your channel, as a matter of fact this was the first video I saw and I like your content so far. As noone else made a suggestion for a ship-name I am throwing my hat in the ring. I would like to have an ISD-2 named Amentia. As for the background story: While the new vessels for our glorious navy where going into the construction phase, the recruitment and training programms for the needed crew and captains were set in motion. As always the instructors where looking out for special talents. One man stood out of his comrades by thinking out of the box on several occasions. His name was John Shepard. In the simulations he performed some risky tactics and maneuvers some would call irrational or insane. But he accomplished every task he was given. So he got promoted to the rank of a Captain and the high command named his ship the "Amentia" based on his unorthodox thinking. Only the future can tell if he and his crew will perform as well as in the simulations or if they will take one risk too much.
Yeah to get the mod up and running for 4 they converted a load of the old models across, which is great because if they reskin more of them for future updates we should have a nice selections of ships. Having the Star Fortress again would be fun.
Since you were so kind as to give me my own fleet, I would like to ask that you add an anchor ship. And I would like a Geonoseian Pinnace as my large ship (idk spelling.) and ALL the Fangs you care to give me. Bombers, I don't really care, they can be whatever. But I figure a fighter heavy fast strike fleet would be fun.
It's a done thing. We are pretty close I think to being able to get some of the big mando ships. Just need a little bit more Rep and we can start buying.

It's on the maybe list. They work great as a static defence ship, but getting them to move about is frustrating lol. If you ask them to move to a different system, and you are in the same system they are too big for the jump gates...and piloting them is like trying to drive a 100 ton brick through quicksand ha
You can. You can board most of the ships if not all of them I think. Not sure if you can board the "hero" ships for the factions such as Home One though.
2:04 REALLY?? I find this screen to be SUPER unintuitive, with too much UI, garbled and clunky. In fact THIS ONE screen pretty much turned me off to the X series for YEARS. Or is this the vaunted British wit?
It's a bit of both haha. I love it and hate it. Love it, because I like a good hex based map and do enjoy a good spreadsheet esc way of playing games...hate it because its so convoluted and finicky. I've accidental attacked things with trade ships on the other end of the galaxy before because I've had the wrong thing selected and not followed the correct clicking procedure before. Its reminds me of a super intelligent person, that forgot how to use common sense.
10:18 yeah and that's too much of an upgrade. All you need to do is update that ancient GPU, I'm telling ya, the rest of the system will run the X series just fine. Run your overlay (in advanced mode) in Nvidia Shadowplay, and look at the frametimes, and the CPU and GPU usage. I can pretty much tell you right now, you'll have a GPU bottleneck in this modded game.
I thought about just the GPU or just the CPU or both. But, because everything on the board is few gens out of date and my old old homebuilt one is on its proper last legs I'm going to build a new rig thats future proof and use this one as a back up. The old one is in the house and its what I use to play games of AoE and the like with the Missus. It's got a fair few bits on it like the case and the PSU I can harvest off of it for the new one.
9:08 Once I sell this first gaming PC, I've got an X99 motherboard and CPU combo I'm going to throw into a case. So on my gaming machine I'm running a Ryzen 7 3800X, 16gb of system ram, and the aforementioned 3060TI. I render at 1440p. For an hour long video, it takes 1.5 hours to render completely, and that seems to be a consistent theme whatever the length of video, so add a half an hour to it. When I used that X99 board with an old Xeon CPU in, it had 16 cores 32 threads, (and cost $5) and it rendered the same video in an hour flat. So there's something to be said for having a networked, dedicated editing PC.
7:32 Nah, the 8000 series of intel chips is still pretty strong. And you've tons of system ram. I'd just say upgrade your GPU. I'm selling my 3060TI for $299. I'm also waiting on parts to build a new budget PC. Proably will try and sell that for $750 or thereabouts.
Do you know what they cover their french fries in in Holland? I remember so many bits from that film...When I was a kid I had a VHS player and about 5 films so they got stuck on repeat. Has the Original Trilogy (the first remastered one), A new hope before it remastered, RDogs, Pulp Fiction and some tapes of Heman, Thomas the Tank Engine and Ninja Turtles. Good times.
1:06:18 I think ISD1s are overall more heavy firepower, but the Venator IMO, is a superior ship in both damage (if you add in fighters) and in tactical versatility. Plus the Venator just looks so COOL.
Venator is probs the best all rounder in the game for me. All of what you said, plus they are a lot quicker. Most of the IMP stuff has a bunch of firepower but is really slow. The quicker ships are made from glass too.
Not as such. But I think it has a custom advanced start that has you starting out as the Last of the Clones...it's super hard and everyone hates you. But you do start with the Venator I think.

@@captgumption yep speaking of the KOTOR series, If you own it, both 1&2 OST (barring the first and last tracks) NEVER get a copyright strike. AND they sound VERY Star Wars. It's a pain to try and manually place the songs in, but so is clicking the 50 million boxes for a "dispute" and at least this way you don't feel like a criminal by a gaslighting mega corp.

Being a little country boy, basically from the shire, I find it really weird haha. Seen old wrestler do a fair bit now a days with the birthday greeting messages and that, which is super cool. As i said I've worked in film, worked with some fairly famous people too, but its always been on the other end of the camera. Well aware of the RU-vid career choice too, when I was a teacher its a very common path people want to follow.
