It's funny out of all the archery channels on RU-vid with tens of thousands of subscribers the info i really need i find here on your channel with 68 subscribers. Thanks for making the videos.know that is helps people. 👍🏻
Hey man, just subscribed to your channel. This is the BEST manchu ring how to use video I've seen yet! You helped me use mine a little easier!!! :D thanks a bunch
Your videos on the Manchu ring are some of the best I have found, lots of other information I have found difficult to follow. The rotational release is something I am currently trying to figure out as just letting go as you may with a "normal ring" was shooting the ring along with the arrow. Enjoy your archery.
While I can’t see what you’re aiming at, and I’m no professional at all, I see your aim is a little high (which would make me think it’s gonna fly into the air), but when you shot the bow your aim corrected itself. Do you aim higher to compensate for the bow moving down?
I received a feedback from someone I shoot with. I need to remove the unnecessary tension of my bow arm. Which is what you saw, my bow arm dropped after release.
Thank you for your note. It's also possible that my camera angle. Let me upload an update. I started to correct my bow arm, it's now about turning the right technique to muscle memory.
Great video! I just picked up a shallow hook ring. It’s going to take a bit to get comfortable since I shoot at 50#. The normal hook felt more secure. But I’ll try the phoenix head technique. Hopefully it feels like a better lock.
I am new to Asiatic archery and have experimented making thumb rings of various styles and different materials. Your excellent video has inspired me to attempt to make an antler Manchu thumb ring. Thanks. I would enjoy more videos on your experience and insights with archery.
Thank you Niel Han for this great video. You are the first I saw, who explains about that oval inner shape for a Manchu Ring All others I saw on youtube, said the inside should be totally circular... That might give a more free flow of the blood... So I made my first that way... But it hurts... Also, if following your advice about the length, my first ring was actually too long... However, "your oval shape", is much like other thumbrings, which do not give me pains, and with the right size, they do not stop the blood flow... I asume you have tried the circular inside, and found that gave pains. So now I will make a new Manchu Ring, "your way", and give it a try... Happy Shooting Dan in Denmark
