Hight: same, or subtract 1 or 2 mm from your (A) measurement - distance between 1st & 2nd groove of your thumb.
Wall thickness: 4, 5, 6 mm 4 is at really thin side. 6 feels bulky. It is related to your string width. Modern bow string is very thin comparing to historical bow strings.
Inner diameters: worked best for me is that it is not loose, it doesn't slip off easily, yet you need to be able to wear it for a long time without discomfort.
Round end: Smooth rounded edge for the root of your thumb.
Bow end: (! 20-30 degree steep, 45 degrees is not right) I need to make an update video!
I like oval shaped hole. (My finger is flat. It's easier to put on.)

Thank you for share our great research with us. It´s diffcult to find good information about how to craft a Manchu thumb ring.

Thank you Niel Han for this great video. You are the first I saw, who explains about that oval inner shape for a Manchu Ring All others I saw on youtube, said the inside should be totally circular... That might give a more free flow of the blood... So I made my first that way... But it hurts... Also, if following your advice about the length, my first ring was actually too long... However, "your oval shape", is much like other thumbrings, which do not give me pains, and with the right size, they do not stop the blood flow... I asume you have tried the circular inside, and found that gave pains. So now I will make a new Manchu Ring, "your way", and give it a try... Happy Shooting Dan in Denmark

I am new to Asiatic archery and have experimented making thumb rings of various styles and different materials. Your excellent video has inspired me to attempt to make an antler Manchu thumb ring. Thanks. I would enjoy more videos on your experience and insights with archery.
