I really love the taste of Amberjack.. its my favorite fish when done right. but cant get it in the USA Midwest. ( Local Asian Seafood store sometimes have it but it's not very good). Sadly, Amberjack and Barracuda are often ciguatera carriers as well as other parasite's.
😂 amberjack are well known to have worms, especially towards the tail. Automatically you cut off the tail. Amberjack is best smoked. Time I come to Florida to go fishing, I’m saving right now, I hope I can catch a fish that is puts up a great fight, the last one only about 15 minutes. Listen to him, that bloodline is nasty and all fish. Also, something most people don’t know, saltwater fish need to be washed in saltwater. Never use freshwater saltwater fish. I’ve been told that with a light barbecue, amberjack, does very well. I don’t know what they’re thinking of, but they say light barbecue, but maybe you do. I miss living in Florida … I love Stuart, and if I had the money, I definitely move to Port Salerno. I love the people there, and they have held onto the independence of the fisherman, from when I lived there in the 80s

Ya its gross but people don't realize almost all fish have worms or other parasites. Its ok to eat because they're mostly picked out and what remains is cooked.
It's big but it if cut into pieces it can fit into an oven, just make sure you dont undercook it. Use a meat thermometer and heat it to 572 degrees fahrenheit.
lol I love how clueless people are about the fish they eat. If you want worm free fish, stick to farmed fish. A great percentage of wild fish have worms. When you eat your fish, the worms have either been removed, cooked and you've unknowingly eaten them or they were worm free.
To everyone freaking out and saying they don’t need to eat this fish… these are spaghetti worms and are totally harmless to humans even eaten raw. Scientists have studied them and attempted to infect warm blooded animals but they have not been able to survive. You can find several videos of people on RU-vid eating these worms raw and have had no ill effects. I have eaten fish with these worms several times over the last 30+ years and have never had any parasites and I’m totally fine and healthy. If you google spaghetti worms in fish one of the first pages you will find is from LSU ag center/Louisiana fisheries talking about these worms and how they can’t infect humans.
Hello, fellow city children! It's my understanding you have zero concept of reality outside of your apartment's two-mile radius, or, in short, real life. So, I'm here to inform you: most wild fish have parasites. They are usually frozen to kill parasites, yet you are reminded to thoroughly cook your raw fish before eating. The reason you have grown up being told to cook your food is so that you do not consume live parasites. The reason we cook meat to certain temperatures for specified amounts of time is to ensure harmful parasites and bacteria are dead (ie. no longer harmful). If you have ever eaten fish that isn't from McDonalds, there's a good chance you've consumed parasites. That's because this is real life. You may now refrain from leaving an ill-informed comment. Hopefully that helps!
Hey man nice video, me and my buddies always come back time to time to rewatch this all time! Mind personally sending me the coordinates to get to this canal?
Did y’all know there’s never been a o own human infection from these worms? In fact researchers can’t get them to grow at all in a warm body host period…
i meant sad truth is that with fish u simply cant get away from worms they are freaking everywhere just don't think of em when u cook the fish right they all perish anyway its just that we as an animal diverged at this point so far away from our lesser brethren that a concept of such parasites to us is utterly repulsive but in nature there is a truckloads of parasites everywhere they are out there for a reason even if they are gross by our standards
im thinking about buying one of these, spooling it with 30lb braid and swapping over to a "power handle" to use for catching big catfish. it would be paired with a lews carbonfire speed stick 7'2" med/heavy rod. THOUGHTS??
Don’t worry that’s not worms. It’s just.. *Taperoids/Roundworms/Tapeworms/HookWorms/JawlineSenstivine/DivineMarshLarvae/Lestivus/MackeralWorms(Idk how they got there) Hemoriodics/CanceriouGenocouns/TransparentNoodle/UnholyMarshWorms/BrainWorms/Amboeas/FlyLarvae/AntilionWorm/Fish-TongueWorm/*
