COMMENTS ARE MONITORED. You can say positive or negative things, but use commons sense. Younger people view these videos. Those with bad language (usually), that harass, bully, will result in blocking, or banning. Don't be stupid, use your head. :)
English ONLY please. Non-English posts are blocked due to possible violations above (can't read 'em).
KEEP POSTS ON-TOPIC. Failure to do so will see them disappear. (Veering off-course happens, I get that.)
KEEP IN MIND: I'm a busy person, with a demanding full time job, and lots on my plate in RU-vid-Land, plus other online endevours. If you leave a private message for me, don't be surprised if you don't hear back for (many) months after. I do check the messages there here and there, as time warrants.
Have fun, keep it civilized, and "...have a good one!"
Well done, George. If you look at the second half of game three and the first half of game four, you were just two pins off ten consecutive clean frames. Mostly tens though, so only 119 if you scored those frames as a game - nowhere near your PB.
@@georgef551 The only episode to date not showm was the Feb 2022 Scratch KOTP. Nick Zuffelato was the #1 seed. with an insane 777 rolloff. Do a you fundme and pay of the old producer for the footage..
One per week. If there are 5 Tuesdays in a given month, there are 5. The number is fewer if circumstances beyond my control arise, like the 2.5 games at 204 Lanes due to overbooking.
@@georgef551 Very true, i always have wondered why honestly, like i go to other candlepin houses and it’s abit harder to score. Needham is the hardest house honestly that i ever have bowled at and the fact that i got two strikes in a row their is a miracle in itself. No pin action what so ever.
@@QuebecChannel We had Mason's in my neck of the woods. It was so hard, people debated whether it, or Georgetown Lanes was the hardest house. Neglect on the pin plates usually is why places are hard. Funspot was the worst place I ever bowled. My highest single there was 72. Some I knew with a 120 average couldn't hit 80 there, but one that did almost as well there as anywhere else. Wakefield Bowladrome is very tough as well, but I do want to try the Needham place at some point, as it was requested.
@@georgef551 Norwood Sports Center was also another hard spot when it was open, everywere else i have been is like half easy half difficult. I have been going to different places too test the difficulty of them.
@@QuebecChannel I think the closest thing to middle-of-the-road (albeit the easier side) was Ryan's Amusements in Millis (MA). I usually find hard places, or easy ones....more of the former.
You didn't get the double strike at the end but not for lack of trying. That was a good ball. Actually most of your throws this time were really good. Went right for the pocket.
Honestly depressing to see so many Candlepin places closing and rotting away, New Palace seemed like a awesome place, sad i never got to check it out, Norwood Sports Center met the same fate a few months back but lucliy the building is still in good shape, i heard they are tearing it down and building condos on the land it was on.
Why did NPL close... it was a great place, they had an awesome vibe, and the KOTP was Awesome! It is such a shame that that place fell into complete disrepair
I don't think so. There is a short Tik-Tok video where someone got inside. That place is gone. It was bad enough when there were areas you could fall through the floor before it closed, now it's just junk. No clue where on Tik-Tok it is, it was shared with a candlepin group on Facebook.
I love when you do these. It is so relaxing like ASMR seeing how you reset the pins... that is why I love rewatching the C-d lanes footage! You seem to be getting better action because you fixed the pin plate!
The vending machine I was just at was this model and it wasn't working right. It kept saying use exact change and that credit: $7.00 when I didn't even put anything in yet. I tried cancelling. It didn't work, nothing worked so far
Glad to see that place survived. We all went there after my daughter's wedding reception in September 2019. Then it was closed for a while, maybe pandemic related. For a few years about 10 years ago, I rented 7000sf of storage space in Leominster, where supposedly underneath my flooring were old candlepin lanes still there. Then it had become a billiard hall, then just storage space I rented from the owner who ran a bar on the ground floor. Just a bit of central MA candlepin history/trivia for you!
I know of Putt's on Mechanic Street. They covered the lanes with a new floor, made it a pool hall I've been to a few times. I think Covid killed Mr. Harvard, the family sold Harvard Lanes. Wachusett Brewing Company turned it into 204 Lanes, redoing the entire back half with new restrooms, food counter, and shoe/reception area at the door. Current owner bought it from the brewing company, redid the lanes, and the action is a lot better now. Supposedly they are working on their own electronic scoring, but for your own records, done on a tablet. Just an initial idea for now.
@@georgef551 Back in 2017, friends of mine bowled in the Friday night Pro league out of Woburn Lanes team #2. While watching them team #1 was bowling which included Sarge! He bowled what iwas told was a 478 triple that night! It was the first time i watched a bowler and it lookd like hes was bowling a different game than anyone else. He was simply outworldly that night.
@@drewrocker9934 He's a great. I bet he's got at least a 500 triple under his belt. From what I know, his 245 wasn't even a perfect game, all the more impressive!
Is it really a "great collapse" when you finish over a hundred? In my eyes, any fill over a five is good. Thus I don't understand your disdain for a six fill. It's not like you regularly fill a strike with a spare and vice versa
