I thought BFV was an incredible game. It took a while to add content. Yet, it had the best combat of any battlefield game. I’ve played everything since bf bad company. The only battlefield game that is overall better is BF Bad Company 2. Bf1 is up there as well. I absolutely loved bf3 but it had a lower player count but the combat was excellent. BF4 was a masterpiece once it got to Xbox one with 64 players. Yet, it still lacks a lot of the features that I loved in BFV. Like character customization, building fortifications, squads accumulating points for a V1s and or special weapons, being able to lay on your back, “the sniping was truly amazing on BF5. It was designed to make you feel like a sniper, I’d never had a game feel so comfortable for a player, you could literally feel the character movement in your joy sticks, it was fluid but not gimmicky like 2042 and it wasn’t stiff like BF4 where aiming was more important than tactical mechanics. In BFV when you zig zag, you sway and bob. It’s the absolute best feeling when you have reasonable mobility but you can be squirmy. It feels reasonable and not overwhelming. Good marksmen can still drop you but your average player will have trouble getting shots on target when you are moving from cover to cover. Truthfully, BF5 perfected combat but they released the game unfinished. So it took two years for the full experience to be there but it was 10/10 when it came together. I’m so thankful dice kept polishing that game, it truly turned into a masterpiece.”
I’m sorry what?? Battlefield V had way better gunplay than any other battlefield game. Do we want to talk about bloom in every other title? Bloom is literally RNG. BFV had way more gun controllability than any other title in the franchise.
Yes there was spread in older titles, but this was predictable spread which can be controlled by the player by bursting their weapon and each weapon was unique from one another. This system rewards the player for learning a weapons behaviour therefor creating a skill gap. The same thing can be said for weapon bloom, which is only effected when the player is moving and shooting, which means the player will need to learn how to move properly when shooting, again creating a skill gap. In Battlefield V, DICE ditched this system and instead opting for a system which gives players random patterns of recoil between each burst making the weapon hard to predict and learn. That is RNG, not the previous systems. BFV ruined their gunplay with this system and completely broke one of the most important fundamentals of an FPS game, and that was being able to improve by practicing. You cannot practice with an RNG system. This is not the only thing wrong with BFV's gunplay, I really recommend you check out the video that I linked in the description where an ACTUAL professional Battlefield player explains why BFV's gunplay is terrible and that it should never be reintroduced again. Older Battlefields gunplay was not RNG, they took skill. There was nothing random about them at all. Thank you for watching the video though I appreciate it, I wish I explained that section a little better.
BF3 was the GOAT, closely followed by BC2. You're absolutely right. Some of my best gaming memories are of BF3 and BC2. A joyous time. BF4 didn't quite hit the same, the launch was awful but still amazing. And from there.... slowly downhill sadly
Battlefield 3 was truly in a class of its own when it released, and even years after. You couldn’t replicate the gameplay experience found in BF3. It had both fast and slow paced action in the same map, vehicle combat, environmental destruction, and some truly next gen graphics. While I was mainly a call of duty guy at the time, I could never get myself to play without my friends. BF3 could have me playing solo for hours. What a time we’ll never get back.
Ahhh simpler times. That BF3 beta, was absolutely fucken wild. Just a trip for sure. Played the game, but I had been playing halo and cod mw2 mostly. BF3 got me to buy a ps3. Just pure chaos.
3, 4 and 1 were such solid entries in the franchise with each having their own memories (for me it was def 3 and 4). I miss it and hope the next entry just does what was core to battlefield.
3 and 4 are and always will be the GOATS. I’m personally not a massive fan of BF4 because I hate most of the maps but I’m not going sit here and lie and say that it’s a bad game, that’s just my opinion. BF3 on the other hand had amazing maps, great gameplay and so on. BF3 will always be my favourite!
its kinda fun, and the performance is way better than any actual cod game, i just wish there was an actual tdm mode instead of playing the kill confirmed-like one
I had no interest in playing a woman. Video games a lot of people people to fantasize. EA and dice wanted to tell us what we should be and shouldn’t be fantasizing about.
I'm 34 and I was there for the release of every BF game(with the exception of 1942, I was too young to appreciate it). BF2 was received very positvely by gamers and the media. BF2142 was received nowhere near as well, and actually many people prefered bf2 over 2142. BFBC1/BC2 was received well, but people were mad about 24/32 players only. BF3 was received very well, even with its jank. The game didn't get till months after release. BF4 was received well, but was even buggier. The game that exists now is what they should've released. It took them a year to fix the game. BFH was just a misstep, the game was good, but they just should've toned down the ambition and called it it's own game/franchise. Most of the hate came from it being a battlefield game not set on a battlefield BF1 was received really well, and was actually one of the few recent releases that was playable at launch. It still took them few months to unfuck it. BF5 was received poorly, took ages to fix it up, and now is a great game. BF2042 came out broken, 2 years later it's actually nice now. One thing as a DICE fan I've learned is that DICE developement comprises of the following steps: 1. Announce a game, overpromise 2. Release the beta, players complain about the game being broken. Promise to fix it. 3. Game releases, game is as buggy as it was in beta, turns out beta was the v1 of the game. 4. Spend the following year or two fixing the game, finally get the game to the point where it's release worth and drop it to work on the next bf game. If you are a true DICE/Battlefield fan, you are doing yourself a disservice by buying/preordering these games. The only way EA will learn that DICE needs time to develop the game, and even more time to test it, is if their launch numbers are shit.(Hardline vs BF1 is a good example of that, 2042 also).
BF3 is my favorite FPS experience I've ever had. There was just something special about it. The immersion back then was ahead of anything else. The maps, the fun u could have with gadgets (MAV and sneaky EOD bot for me) vehicles ect. It was just special . BF1 is a good argument because it is a timeless game till this day. They nailed the immersion with those 2 BFs, but if my hands were tied and I had to choose it's BF3 no doubt
Hopefully they get back to BF roots and learned thier lesson with 2042. I would hate to see it die. My best memories in gaming are BF moments. Hard to get that same feeling with the new ones.
@@slappzzz Agree But the community has changed a lot too since the hay days. Ppl are more toxic and egotistical nowadays. So if Dice want to save this game they should hurry up before the older generations move on and they get stuck with the Millennials and their offspring
Tbf I've been playing it a lot more than I thought I would be. The game doesn't offer anything groundbreaking or innovative but it never advertised it self to be. I've been enjoying it mostly because of how casual it is due to not having SBMM. However it can get boring really quick. Great video as always mate
Imo its ok i liked TTK then MWiii lol Most match i noticed players acrually plays objective where COD people dont bother play objective because longer matches=easy to grind camo Currenrly XDfiant most guns is basically level grind for camo thats reason but COD is game where nobody plays Kill Confirm by collecting dog tag which is STUPID
Wow, the amount of anger my 12 year old self experienced trying to play the trainwreck that was BF4... On X360 it had at least 25 patches that you had to download manually on Xbox Live after some time. But after some time and expansions, it's my favorite Battlefield.
